I started wearing the band around 8-9 weeks and went full on maternity pants around 11. I love my maternity pants!! so comfy. I should have gotten in them sooner.

I was also petite pre-pregnant (5’4, 117 lbs), but I didn’t need maternity pants or the bella band until I was about 11 weeks.

I started wearing maternity pants around 15 weeks when pants just became too uncomfortable for me. I do remember the bloating early on though and unbuttoning my pants was a normal thing for me!

By about 12 weeks I found them comforting, but now at 18 weeks, they are necessary. I’m okay with prepregnancy summer dresses, but pants, shorts, and skirts… forget it. I’m hardly showing, but the pressure is just not okay.

I’m 19w3d and can still wear my regular pants for the most part.  If we’re going out to eat or something, I’ll wear a bella-band just to make it more comfortable, but usually I just go as is.  It sucks not showing yet!

22ish weeks here. No maternity pants as of yet, but I might have to break down and get some either this month or next month. I’ve had a couple of pairs of pants, a couple of shirts, and a skirt that don’t fit me so well right now.

Right now, the pants I wear usually have elastic waistlines, even jeans. It’s not considered the most becoming thing for a 27-year-old I’m sure, but it gives me some leeway for changes in my body.

By The Way, if I take the belly band route instead, where can I get one?

I had issues with pants at about 8 weeks. Crazy how fast that happens.

I was somewhere around 12 weeks, but wasn’t as petite as you when I started…I bought the bella band but preferred to use a rubber-band-around-the-button trick. I bought maternity jeans I think 2 weeks later and I still wear them now (I’m 33 weeks)–and that was like, “Where have you been my whole life”?!

I bought my first two pairs from Old Navy because I didn’t want to spend a lot and they’re great. One’s bootcut and the other’s skinny. I’ve also since then bought a pair from ASOS, which are great–although I wouldv’e gotten a size smaller b/c of the stretch. But they definitely look cool and current.

I suddenly feel SO MUCH better about my 9 week belly! I was worried that I was putting on too much weight or something because I am getting pudgy already.

My mom just told me she knew in her 2nd week (just like I did) because her pants were already getting tight from bloating etc!!! “Big and proud” nice and early she said.  I’m not thrilled about the big, but glad it’s baby and not the fact I haven’t been getting my exhausted ass to the gym.
