I don’t know exactly if it was an increase in hunger really. But I got meds to make nauseau go away so I could finally eat more than crackers. I started needing to snack every hour to keep the nauseau down at like 5 weeks. I found if I snacked more I didn’t feel as sick. Even now I never find my self really hungry, I more find I need to eat or I feel like hurling. Oh so much fun.

When the nausea got really bad between 7-12 weeks, I could barely eat. I lost almost 6 pounds between the 8 week and 13 week appointments. Only recently, I’m beginning to desire to eat again. It’s still to keep the nausea away. This morning, the El was backed up, so my usual plan of getting in to eat was foiled and I felt sick. I just pounded down some cereal and feel better. Last night, I managed 3 slices of pizza, but minorly threw up from the smell of the pizza as I tried to wrap it up for leftovers. Smells still get me sick, but the nausea’s gotten a lot better lately. I’ve heard from friends that anywhere from 14 to 18 weeks is when the nausea passes and hunger comes back.

I didn’t notice an increase in hunger until the start of my 2nd trimester.

I had an increase in nausea around 6-7 weeks and only felt better when I was eating almost non-stop.

I’m 31 weeks and have had no increase in hunger. In fact, I think I eat less than I did before. Food just hasn’t seemed appealing since I got pregnant.

I was starving for the first maybe 2 weeks after my bfp.  Then the nausea kicked in and I had to force myself to eat through the rest of the first tri.  Around 14 weeks I started getting really hungry again.  For me it’s not all the time though.  It seems like the babies will have a growth spurt for a day or two where I’ll be ravenous and have to eat every hour.

I think around 5 weeks. I would finish my lunch at work and think, “That’s it?!!” and snack the rest of the afternoon. At night I would eat more at dinner. I’m now 7w2d and not as hungry as last week and the week before.

I was starving for my entire first trimester, from the day I found out I was pregnant. It subsided during the beginning of my second tri, and now i’m half way through my second tri and day-by-day its different. Note, I did not have an morning sickness or naseau and I didn’t start gaining weight until I was a few weeks into my second tri. I say, embrace the hunger and ALWAYS carry snacks.

I actually didn’t notice an increase in hunger until the third trimester.  I hadn’t gained too much weight until now either.  Now, I feel like I’m always hungry.
