My appetite actually went down in my first tri but I would feel light headed if I didnt eat often, I would also have a bitter taste in my mouth constantly so I started eating more often around week 6 even though I wasnt actually hungrier than before.

Not until the second trimester.  That’s when my nausea abated enough to feel hungry again, and then boy did I feel hungry… and I finally started gaining some weight.

Somewhere around 14 weeks, so just recently. I had no appetite before that. Now I have to eat every 3-4 hours (tiny meals or snack) or I start to feel sick.

No increase here. I actually forget to eat lunch if I’m out and about….. DH picked up my pregnancy hunger almost immediately after he saw the bfp on the hpt. LOL

The day I found out I was pregnant and the day after, I was ravenous.  But it started to taper off and now it’s back to normal…which is making me a tad nervous…

I didn’t get more hungry until mid-second trimester when I finally started getting my hyperemesis under control, I think it was around 22 weeks, give or take. I am probably an odd case, because I am almost 30 weeks and still have only gained about 5 pounds total.

@mommytobee27:  The eating and getting sick feeling right after is normal. I still could eat almost normally up until 7 weeks, then all bets were off. I just had a series of snacks and now feel full for now. I’m going to try to eat some easy mac & cheese since my stomach and jellybaby seem to like it.

With meals, it’s a crapshoot. Some I can handle better than others. I found that things like chicken tenders, mac & cheese, potstickers went down and stayed down easier than others. When I visited my parents this weekend, I could manage some pizza or a brunch at my brother’s while I couldn’t handle a small chicken sandwich after waiting too long. You just find what works for you and eat what you can.

I was starving from after I got my BFP (around 4 weeks) until 12 weeks.  STARVING I tell you.  Tapered then picked up again around 20 weeks, though not as bad as during the first trimester.

at about 8 or 9 weeks.

It it was not necessarily that I ate more at each meal… just that I got nauseauted every time I felt hungry, so I needed to make sure I was constantly full with healthy snacks.

I never got a steady increase in appetite. However, I have days where I eat a stinking ton. It’s borderline disgusting, but I would say I have one of those every couple of weeks, otherwise I might even be eating less. I did have very bad ms though and lost 26lbs until I was 17 weeks along.

Between weeks 4 and 6 I was starving ALL the time! Then the morning sickness hit, and it was hard to just keep normal habits. Now I feel more like I still eat like I did pre-pregnancy. Sometimes I just have more sweets because I crave them. lol.

I had it for about a month during my 2nd trimester. I could eat a full meal and be starving an hour later. Peanut butter and crackers were a great snack. I always had them around. Filling and full of protien! I would eat several snacks a day and eat whenever I was hungry. Oh and if you like it, cottage cheese and fruit is another great filling snack.

Almost immediately. What I really noticed is if I didn’t eat every 3 or so hours, I’d be nauseous, really nauseous! I was working late nights, up early morning and that helped to reinforce my eating habits early on (although it felt like pure torture at the time)!
