So one of my bridesmaids and I went shopping around (just looking) at different styles of both bridal and bridesmaids dresses. My wedding is more than a year away so I wasn’t really wanting to try anything on myself but I was kind of talked into it. I decided to try on a couple just to see how the styles fit and how they made me feel. I kind of fell in love with one. I can’t stop thinking about it :-/
Do I act now and buy, or wait for another 6 months and see if I come across something else?

I bought mine way too early I think. I ended up regretting it and wishing I had waited but didn’t want to be a two dress bride.

I’ve had my dress for one year and three months… I was originally supposed to get married this year though and then we had to push the wedding back when my fiance was laid off.
ETA: If you can’t get the dress off your mind and you don’t think you will fluctuate in size too much getting the dress now might not be too bad. My only concern would be if you found another dress down the road that you really liked. This site can make that pretty easy… I bought mine pretty early, but I still love it. I couldn’t get my dress off my mind either so I went through with the purchase.

If you really think it’s the one, I say go for it! Although, if there’s nothing pressing you to buy it immediately, you may want to wait and look around some more. My wedding is only a couple of weeks before yours and I bought my dress in May. LoL. I knew 100% that it was the one though. It was like the second or third dress I tried on at the very first shop. I did go to at least 4 or 5 other stores that week before I went back to that shop and ordered it though. I also went ahead and ordered it because the shop was offering me 15% off…

Thanks all. I think I’m just super super excited and I felt so great in that dress (doesn’t happen very often that I fell “good” in anything) I felt the need to have it.

If you think it will be around for a while (aka new style) then you can hold off a little while. If you think it could be the one that got away if you don’t get it now, then I say go for it. Dress regret can happen no matter when you buy your dress so don’t let the timing scare you, but if you want to explore more option first you should. You will probably come back to this one in the end though. =)
