I tried on more than 50+ dresses, only 1 had a slight reaction, when she put on my veil and I kinda gulped haha and smiled and I saw how red my momma’s face got and how thrilled she looked. I wanted to stand in my dress for a long time 🙂

For me, it was thmisread I was the most excited to try on while it was on have hanger and was the first dress I tried on. I loves the way that it looked on me and made me feel. I took it off to try on a few more dresses. I couldn’t wait to take them off and get back in the first dress. I was comparing the others to the first dress constantly. After I got back in the first dress, I just knew. All of the people I brought with me felt the exact same way.

When I put it own and the consultant asked what I thought? I couldn’t even speak….. Then tears started to trickle down my face 🙂

I realized it was the one the moment I put it on. I couldn’t stop smiling and then started happy-crying.

I knew when I tried it on. I was playing with the skirt swishing it back and forth, and the more I did that with the one dress, the more it made me smile. My mom knew based on my smile that was the one.

I knew the minute I saw it online, my stomach dropped, I gasped and couldn’t breathe for a few seconds. Mind you this was after many many months of looking online and thinking I wanted a Maggie Sotero. When I went to try on dresses, the consultant pulled that dress and many others. I tried on my dress first and just knew right away. I did have a similar reaction with another dress but went with my first choice because I felt like a sexy bride.

I knew my Divina was for me when I saw it online during the Maggie Sottero collection preview. I did try on other dresses but none compared to the Divina.

I found a dress online that looked like nothing I’d ever seen before, and I could afford it, so I ordered it through the post.
Please don’t gauge the dress choice by your emotional reaction. Not everyone gets that tears-in-the-dressing-room-when-the-veil-goes-on moment. Some girls aren’t predisposed to that sort of thing. I got that moment, went home and thought about it, and then wound up with something else entirely.
Did you cry when you met the guy?
A Practical Wedding has a lot of good things about this, and there’s a whole chapter in the book One Perfect Day by Rebecca Mead called “The ‘Oh, Mommy’ Moment” that basically talks about how the whole “moment” thing can happen organically, but it’s largely manufactured. So don’t feel bad. Get what makes you feel beautiful.

I danced and skipped around the shop in it and didn’t want to take it off.

I knew when I was running out of time to order and it was the one I liked best! Plus it didn’t hurt that the bees picked it twice lol

@EffieTrinket: Agreed. I didn’t cry or get emotional when I tried on the Divina. I just loved the way it made me look like a sexy woman – not a “princess”. It was the look & feel I was going for. I said “Okay, I’m done” LOL.
