When did you say "I Love You"?

I don’t remember the date–but I remember the circumstance–my boys were giving me a lot of sass and back talk and I was getting extremely upset and frustrated.  He said he would take them bowling or to play pool so I could have a relaxing afternoon to myself. I asked him why he would do that and he kissed me on the forehead and said because I love you.

Later on, when I was in a better mood and were snuggling I asked him if he really meant it and told him I loved him too.  For real.

Seven months in. I think he felt it earlier but just wanted me to say it first so he could keep up a streak of not saying it first. Who knows. Men are weird.

Almost straight away. Although we did everything in the wrong order and very quickly, which somehow worked for us. Wouldn’t recommend it for others though!

It was super fast, i think like maybe 6 weeks at most. He actually said it first and it was totally a slip up, and he tried to backpedal and cover it up and I was like “TOO LATE!!! I HEARD IT!!” We were watching Deadpool.

Its very much like you’re saying, just everything is so natural with us, and everything seemed so right and just happened, we both tried slowing it down but it didnt work, it just was working and happening naturally. He was 38 and I was 43 at the time so we weren’t kids that didn’t know. We’re together 3 years now and getting married in 5 months.

The first night we kissed.  We were friends first, so it’s not like we’d just met; we had about four months of (platonic, NOT dating) getting to know you time.  But we both were crushing on each other so hard the whole time, that when we finally kissed for the first time we both said it immediately after, almost at the exact same time.  Then we were both embarassed about how fast it was, but it obviously worked out.  We said I love you, and THEN said “ah jeez, I guess we should go on a date then?”

I think if you’re feeling it you should tell him.  When you know it’s right, you know it’s right.

I said it first 3 weeks in. He said it 2 months later!  We’ve been together for decades and still say it to each other at least twice a day ❤️

It was a few weeks away from a year, but we had felt it within the first few weeks of dating.  He wanted it to be a special moment and apparently had been planning to say it at Love Park in Philly.  I had gotten upset a couple of times about it and brought it up to him and he said he wanted it to be special, and I said that sometimes just being in the moment anywhere can be special.

so he said it a few days before Valentine’s Day the first year after an intimate moment at home.  “You know how I feel about you right?” “Yeah I do”. “I love you”.  And his eyes all teary.  Oh man the memory gets to me even now.

After 3/4 months. Can’t remember exactly, but knew I felt very sure. He said it first and I said it back.

He said it about 6 months in, when we were staying at an airbnb house with his family for his sister’s wedding. I said it.. some point after that lol. He isn’t really mushy (I am a little prone to gushing) so I had wanted to wait for him to go first.

I’m an anxious person and have never said it first, but I definitely show it way sooner than I say it.
