Hey bees, trying to figure out when i should be sending out my save the dates, wedding is July 15, 2017. recently got our magnets in the mail and just wondering when I should send out the save the dates?

Anywhere from 6-12 months is typical. If you have a lot of out of town guests I would send them sooner rather than later.
It would also be better to send them now to avoid them getting lost in all the holiday mail.
We were a little late on ours and sent them out at 5 months out.

I have a July 2017 wedding too! Planning to send them out in December/January.

I sent them last week since we’re getting married in our hometown and 30-40% of our guests are out of the country. Same date as you😉

Getting married November 2017 and we are planning on walking out STD’s over to the post office this morning! It’s a bit earlier than 12 months out, but we have family all over the US and we’d like to let them know so they can begin to plan on saving money to plan to come if they can. We also have a lot of friends in the enterntainment /music industry who take tours and need to give A LOT of notice so they know to save the day.

We sent them about 8 months out. We had about 30% of the guest list needing to fly, so we wanted to give them good warning. We would have sent them out at the 9 month mark, but I waited until January because I didn’t want them to get mixed up with the Christmas mail and forgotten about.

We’ll be sending ours about 10-11 months before, because our wedding is on a holiday weekend.

Getting married on 4.21.17 and everyone has to travel. Sent them out 7 months in advance! 🙂

I am getting married in May 2017 and sent my STD’s in September, 8 months in advance. We are having a small destination wedding where all guests will be required to travel either by plane or 3-4 hour car ride.

The majority of our guests will be flying in. We sent our STD’s about 7 months early. My plan was to have the website done by then too so people could get travel accommondations info but no such luck.

My wedding is early May of next year and I sent mine out on Friday. We have a few guests that will be traveling from other states, but most of those people are in the wedding party and have known the actual date since we set it. We probably would have sent them out a little earlier if we had more people that would be traveling more than a couple hours.

My date is 10/7/17, so just under a year away. I am sending them out at the end of November (as long as we get pictures back in time, and they get to us from the printer in time!) because the majority of my family lives about 20 hours away, his about 30 hours away.

Our date is 7.29.17 and I just sent mine to post on Friday. So 9.5 months in advance. Our wedding is technically a domestic destination wedding because everyone will have to drive between 1-6 hours or fly in and drive an hour to the venue. We also wanted to give our guests plenty of time to find a hotel since it’s a summer weekend in a popular beach town.
Our wedding website is set up with hotel blocks too.

Most of our guests will be travelling for our wedding so we sent ours 12 months in advance

- Wedding: September 2015 - Hotel Ballroom
We sent them out WAY too early! We got engaged in April 2014, and sent them out in June-ish 2014….for a September 2015 wedding. I could be a little biased because I almost had to postpone my wedding. If I could do it all over again, I would send them out 10ish months before the wedding….BUT still let the wedding party and immediate family know sooner.
