I sent ours out probably 6-8 months before, I can’t remember the exact date.  You might be good to send them out in October? Before the holidays!

I meant to send mine 8 months in advance. Actually got out 6 months in advance. I’m having mostly out of town guests and my wedding is over a holiday weekend, so I wanted to give people plenty of warning!

We have the same wedding date! Here is a nice chart I found some time ago, can’t remember where it’s from. I’m hoping to have mine out in October and we are having a large amount of out of town guests.

@kat912:  We are having mostly OOT guests, and I hope to have ours out at the beginning of the year, for a September wedding so people have plenty of time to book flights and make plans for time-off from work and everything.  I’d send them earlier but I don’t want them to get lost in the holiday mail, so probably mid-late January or February I’ll try to send them out.

We sent ours out on valentines day 2013! Our wedding is 9/14/13

We wanted to give people plenty of time because our wedding is at a campground and they could decide if they would stay for the weekend in a tent, cabin, or hotel.

I think the sooner the better because you have out of town people.  Maybe wait until summer winds down for people and they don’t just forget it because they are worried about all the other events and weddings this summer.  good luck!

We wanted to send them at Christmas seeing as our wedding is prime holiday time (that would have been 8 months). Unfortunately life very much got in the way and they eventually got sent in March, which was a bit late because a couple of people had booked holidays already 🙁

@kat912:  We sent ours out about 6 months before. We have a 7 month engagement so didn’t have many options.

@kat912:  we sent ours pretty late but it was much appreciated by our guests. i sent them because people kept calling us and asking about the invitation and if they made the list, and bugging my FI. lol so we sent them at the end of march which was 6 months before the wedding.

we sent invitations at the end of may. wedding is in august. if i thought about it sooner, i probably would have sent them in february.

@kat912:  We sent ours around the 6 month mark. However, most of our guests are in town. I would send yours at least 9 months ahead of time to allow guests to book their flights and plan a mini vacation!
