I’m 22 weeks + 1 day today and it’s been a month plus since the first and last time I was positive it was my baby moving.
I know “typically” you start feeling movement frequently around 16-22 weeks so needless to say I’m starting to get worried. I do have an appointment on Thursday so I plan to bring it up.
So curious when did you really start feeling baby kick frequently?
Especially interested for answers from first time moms because I know it’s typically later for us.

All the time consistently? After 6 months. I actually remember going to the doctor in a panic at 27 weeks because I felt no movement for several hours.

By the end of 20 weeks I could feel the baby kick & punch distinctly or bounce around in there. I dont feel her ALL THE TIME because sometimes she is really quiet in there, but I feel her regularly throughout the day now and I”m 24 weeks. On days when I havent felt any movemenet for a while i drink some pineapple juice or something sweet and lie on my side and I usually feel some activity in about 20 mins

I guess I would say at least once a day?

I felt the baby move for the first time around 19 weeks, and after that it progressed very quickly to feeling the baby kick regularly every day. I don’t feel her all the time. She definitely has down times when she doesn’t kick at all. She has very quiet days and days when she’s totally crazy all day long. I know people’s experience with kicking really varies a lot though. If your placenta is positioned in the front, then you might not feel the baby until much later. Mine is in the back, and I’m pretty slender, so I feel pretty much every move that she makes.

OMG, my baby gave me such anxiety. I didn’t start to feel her move until I was at least 25 weeks along, and not with any regularity until well into the 3rd trimester. Every day was a stressor, and I was so paranoid. I think I actually started a few posts on here asking people the same question because I was so worried. I had an anterior placenta, and it just seemed like she never moved. It was so nice towards the end when I felt her every couple of minutes.

I started feeling the baby at about 16/17 weeks, but it wasn’t regularly. It was basically only when I had a chai latte at Starbucks 🙂 in the beginning.
I’m 25 weeks and I guess since 23 weeks I’ve been feeling her move pretty regularly. Some days she is more active than others, but I think she’s going to be an MMA fighter the way she’s battering me already.

i felt my baby move for the first time at 16 weeks, but now i am 21 weeks and I hardly feel the baby move. it’s just every once in a while, sometimes only once day, if not every other day. it’s not regular by any means… and it doesn’t even feel like kicking yet. more like a flutter.

That’s the thing, the u/s tech never mentioned that my placenta is in the front. I was under the impression that it’s not common so I would assume she would mention it. I’ll def double check on Thursday. And I am quite slender as well. So add those two together I thought I would be feeling it by now.
Thanks for making me feel better!

@regberadaisy: I answered on the other thread, too but I didn’t start feeling her often until this past week, so maybe 22 weeks? But it’s not all the time, usually when I eat something sweet (mostly chocolate!).

I felt the first kick at 17 weeks I believe, by 22 weeks I felt it all the time.

I definitely felt unmistakable kicking long before 24 weeks but I don’t honestly remember it being consistent and regular until the past month or so.. so maybe like 26-27 weeks??

I felt the first kicks at 15 weeks. I started feeling him consistently between 17 and 18 weeks.

Interested in responses here! Am 18 wks 3 days and thought I felt movement last week, but nothing really since. I don’t have an anterior placenta that I know of.
FWIW, I know plenty of people who didn’t feel much movement until weeks 22 or later.

@regberadaisy: hmm it is standard procedure for them to note where the placenta is. My U/S tech didn’t tell me during the appt, but it was in the follow-up paperwork that i went over with my midwife. So they should have it on record.
I first felt him kick right at 20 weeks, but it was consistent, frequent daily kicks until 22-24 weeks. Now I feel him all day long, and have for a few weeks (I’m 30weeks)
I hope you start to feel the babe soon! I can only imagine how frustrated you must be. let us know how it goes tomorow during your appt!
