@CanAmBride:  Probably the first August I sat at my full-time job while all of what seemed like the rest of the world went back to college and FB status reeked of “beginning of the year parties” and new roommates, and moving back into college houses/apartments.  I always loved that time of year and the first summer I wasn’t a part of it really hit home and I realized, wow, I’m only going to get older.  Also, when it set it how much more exhausting a 40/week job is compared to being a full time student and pulling all-nighters every once in a while.  I never thought a monotonous job would be more tiring than juggling classes and worrying about grades.  It is NOT hard at all for me to fall asleep at 10 pm on a Friday night, and I’ve done it before.  All of our friends our age have an unspoken agreement about the fact that Friday is now our recovery night, Saturday is the night to go out.  No one has the engery on Fridays anymore!!

@CanAmBride:  Yesterday. I was reminiscing about the horrors of dial-up internet and the person I was talking to (who I had thought was about my age) was like ‘yeah, I never had that problem by my older sister knows all about it.’ Dammit!

@CanAmBride:  FI and I went out with another couple to a local club.  We were on the dance floor and I looked up and saw a bunch of girls dancing provocatively on a “stage”.  The first thought that came across my mind was “Wow! Their mothers would be so proud” … my second thought, “Oh my god I’m turning into my mother”.  It was truly confirmed that I am getting old when our group started yawning around 1am and collectively decided that we had had enough.

A week ago when I woke up with knee pain and could not place why.  I hadn’t done anything to hurt myself or anything….just woke up with random pain.  🙁

I still have never felt old a single day of my life!  Exhausted, however, yes, plenty.

It just keeps getting better and better all the time.  I actually love aging – I look young for my age, I’m healthy, and I’ve accumulated tons of wisdom and confidence over all of these long, long, long, long, many years.

about two years ago (40).  My body now makes popping and snapping sounds whenever I get off the couch, out of bed, out of the car, blah blah blah. .

I swear some days it sounds like a gun shot

I totally agree about no Friday plans.  Everyone knows we don’t leave the house on Friday nights. . we are too exhausted from the week.

@VegasSukie:  Ugh!! I don’t have the random pains, but I’m noticing that things (knees, ankles, neck, etc) are cracking and creaking more than they ever have in the past!!

@CanAmBride:  LMAO!!!!  I went to a movie last night with friends and ended up seeing a movie I really didn’t want to see SIMPLY because it started and ended the earliest allowing us to get home before 8 pm.  I think like this every time I go out now.  How long is it going to take?  How late am I gonna get home?  Parking is going to suck! Etc.  When I was younger I didn’t care how late, how much, how long and now I do!
