I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant and just this past Monday I felt an odd sensation that felt sort of like a flutter in my lower right hand side abdomen. I thoughgt at first it was gas but it has been happening now every day since then in the same spot. Could this be the baby moving? It takes me by surprise each time I feel it as it is such an odd feeling. When did you start to feel movement?

Yep! Definitly your little babe.
I felt fluttering in my 17th week, and then on from there I continually feel pokes and kicks now. My Darling Husband felt 2 strong kicks last night, he was amazed lol I will be 19 weeks tomorrow

sweetchiquita12 : Yes that’s your baby! I was about that far along when I felt it the first time around. I’m hoping this time around is sooner.

I started feeling sensations (like there was a tiny fish swimming around in my belly) at around 18 weeks and a distinct kick (saw it too!) at 20.5 weeks. I have an anterior placenta, but I am pretty petite so I think that made me see/feel them earlier.

sweetchiquita12 : sounds like baby! I first felt movement like this at around 17 weeks. Then at almost 20 weeks I felt my first outside kicks ( I literally screamed since I was half asleep with my hand on my belly, it caught me so off guard 😂). Enjoy every second, it’s truly the sweetest feeling ever 🙂

20 weeks. I had an anterior placenta which makes it harder to feel movement.

little tiny movements around 18/19 weeks, definite kicks/outside movement about 20 weeks 🙂

ivyashes : It’s the craziest feeling! My husband wants to feel them so bad but I guess he will have to wait a few weeks for the outside kicks to be felt. I think I will for sure scream when I feel an actual kick lol

18 weeks I think exactly is when I started feeling them- it felt like a muscle twitch to me & still does. thats probably baby you are feeling there! My husband was super anxious too but its worth the wait to feel this amazing sensation finally! now he is always touching my belly and feeling kicks/movement. Now that im 30 weeks its more just general movements but still cool as hell-wait till you see your belly moving from side to side sitting at your desk at work! haha. Congrats & hope you have a healthy rest of your pregnancy!

I started feeling my baby around 17 weeks or so. I have an anterior placenta so it was hard at first to distinguish and I was constantly worried it was gas and not the baby. My husband also wanted to feel her so badly, and was trying so hard. I am now 30 weeks, and trust me, he can feel her!! And I no longer have any doubt as to when it’s the baby moving, as she can rumble my entire stomach and I can see her moving around sometimes. His new favorite hobby is to find her and then get her to follow him with kicks. It’s hilarious! You will love when it’s like that 🙂
