Our engagement will be 22 months long when it’s all said and done. I started planning right away!

Our engagement will be about 14 months and I really started planning about 9 months out.  Of course I would browse website and get ideas but it wasn’t until 2 months ago I started getting serious.  I now have about 7months left and I have A LOT to do!  I suggest starting earlier than me.

our engagement will be just over 13 months long, which is apparently pretty short. my parents think it is an eternity and don’t see any reason to start planning. when i told them venues book up over a year, sometimes two years out, they told me i was crazy and might have even called me a diva. don’t listen to naysayers. look at venues and get that done with. you have awhile, but honestly i would say nail down a venue sooner rather than later so you’re not going through the stress i am. but then you can relax for a bit!

Honestly, I started doing research a couple of weeks before we were engaged.  Somehow I knew it was coming and I was too excited to wait it out.  I even scheduled appointments with venues for about a month after the engagement.  So, as per my husband, we began planning about a month after he proposed.  He doesn’t need to know the truth!  Lol.  I’m glad I got started early.  We had such a nice engagement because all of the big stuff was accounted for early on.

We started planning right away (and of course by “we” I mean mostly me and my Mom with random input from the mister, haha).  Our engagement will be 15 months long and so far it’s been the perfect amount of time to research and find the best ideas…then put them into action! 🙂

I started immediately. I want to have everything done at least a couple of months prior to our wedding. I wanted to have everything done 6 months prior, but I keep changing my mind on things and have been waiting for sales, so it is going to take a little longer than I originally planned.

Our engagement was one year and we didn’t start planning until 9 months before! I’m not a big planner, but everything worked out perfectly.

Our engagement was 9 months.

We got engaged Oct 31st. The first thing we did was find a venue (asap). We knew we wanted to get married in July but weren’t stuck on a date. We found and booked our venue by 15th or so of November and had our date set. Once that was done, we searched for a photographer, DJ. Then we started working on the smaller things. Picked our wedding colours, picked our wedding party, etc…

It is very overwhelming at first but once you get going, everything comes together.

Our engagement will be around 14 months, and we got started planning a little before we got engaged (in August of this year) , but we’re just that way.

After the formal engagement was when we started booking things – we have our venue and just had a meeting with a photog we really liked. I’m enjoying the idea of polishing off the big stuff so I can focus on the DIY details that fit into everything.

We were engaged for 18 months.  We got engaged in December and really didn’t start picking out venues or anything until around August (so 8 months later…).  We had a hard time finding the right minister and we didn’t want to book anything until we had done some.  Also, we were very busy in general with life.  Everything came together fine though 🙂

I gave myself a month to just enjoy being engaged before starting the planning. We were engaged for 10 months, so I planned for 9 months.

We will be engaged for 25 months.  We had a trip to Disneyworld and a week long cruise planned right after we got engaged so I didn’t start planning until we got back from that.  I did a little here and there, and took long (week long) breaks when needed.
