No option for the whole time? I’m wearing my comfy ballet slippers the whole time so 1) I’m comfy and 2) My dress will be hemmed the right length all night.

I wore my heels the whole time.. well except for the last 1/2 hour when I went barefoot.

I even walked to the hotel after our reception barefoot. It had just misted so the ground was cool and damp, very soothing for my sore feet that had been in heels for 7 hours!

I think if I actually HAD to wear heels I’d take them off either right away at the reception or as soon as they started to hurt. Pain makes me grumpy, don’t want to be grumpy on my wedding day!

I wore a slight wedge and they were super comfy, so I wore them the whole time.  I can’t say enough about these shoes, low, but still formal looking.

My heels were SUPER COMFY (yes, it is hardly believable even by me!) And I had them on ALL DAY. My feet didn’t even hurt the next day! And I was on my feet and dancing like CRAZY. I was on my feet ALL DAY otherwise too.

I switched for photos on the beach, put my shoes back on fir the first dance and then ditched them completely for the rest of the night in favor of flip flops. My shoes were from J. Crew and while they were comfortable, the inner sole came unglued on both heels after about an hour of wear which was really disapointing and annoying to walk in. Ultimately, I contacted J. Crew and they took them back because of this flaw.

I’m planning to stay in them for as long as possible – I don’t feel right in flats!

I’ll be sticking to my high heel shoes (4″ or 4.5″ inches) all night until we leave. I’m rather short, only 5’3, and with my dress I wouldn’t look great with flats. Besides, I’m not a flats type of girl because flats make my feet hurt :/ I’ll just make sure to buy some comfy heels.

I kicked off my heels as soon as possible. BUT my Darling Husband kept stepping on my bustle and it broke about 3 hours before the end of the reception. Worse things could have happened though.

I did the ceremony and photos and a bit of the reception in my heels, most of the reception in my flats and then bare feet for dancing!
