I told my supervisor right away (her and I are very close and tell each other practically everything). I told my office manager at 13 weeks.  I decided to hold off until 17 weeks to tell my VP/Boss. Everyone was great about it. Congratulated me, asked how I was feeling, how the baby was doing etc.  They completely respected/understood that I wanted to wait until I passed the first trimester and had all the important scans before officially announcing. I honestly don’t think I could of hid it much longer after 17w anyway. I started to show around 15w/16w and really popped around 17w.

I told my boss the week I found out and I was about 4w. Reasoning is, my husband is a worry wart and thought it would be best for him to know just in case! My boss was incredibly happy and excited for me. He was not surprised at all, my husband and I had just gotten married (literally, JUST. We were married for not even two months) and our friends and family knew just how much we wanted to have a baby.

18 weeks or so. We had a work happy hour and I wanted to give him a heads up before he suspected anything. He had no clue and thought I was quitting lol.

I told my boss and coworkers the day after I got a positive test.  We use products at work that you cannot use while pregnant/nursing, so I pretty much had no choice.  Almost everyone at work, (we are a small, fairly close-knit group), knew we had been trying for a long time and were THRILLED for us.

FrenchNewlyWed:  I told my boss right away after my blood test in case I needed to be out sick. That, and I work at a clinic, and so many people would be privately congratulating me after checking out my chart anyway. She jumped out of her chair and gave me a huge hug so I think she was excited, lol. She and everyone at my work was very accomodating and helpful when I got pregnant.

My supervisor was generally pretty clueless about everything. I told her at 16 weeks, she was very happy for me but she had never had anyone on her team be pregnant so she referred me to other supervisors for questions regarding leave and such

I told my boss at 13w, the morning of my u/s. I had just arrived to work and got a call that they could squeeze me in for my u/s that afternoon so i had to tell him why I wanted to leave. He was super happy for me. I was planning to tell the rest of my co-workers a few weeks later, but that following monday I was outedby a co-worker who had just returned from mat leave and asked when I was planning to have babies (in front of everyone!) I figured it was easier to admit it then instead of having to make a formal announcement later.

I was a little over 8 weeks. I didn’t want to tell him that soon, but I got offered a position and had no choice. I also work in law enforcement and doc told me I shouldn’t go to the shooting range, so I couldnd’t keep it a secret very long anyway…My supervisor was suer excited though, and wanted to tell everyone right away haha but I made him hold off 🙂

My boss was the second person I told after my husband. He was very supportive and happy for us.

I still haven’t at almost 18 weeks.  He is nice, and I’m sure he will be understanding, I just haven’t found the right time and we don’t talk about personal things usually, anytime I have its always really awkward.  Luckily its not completely obvious yet. I was hoping to get my contract for the fall before everyone in my department found out, since I work in academia and at this point, still on semester contracts.
