So I’m a bridesmaid in my best friend’s wedding this November and she still hasn’t told me what colour or style of the dress she wants me to get. I know it’s still like 4 months out, but I’m just wondering if this is normal. When did you bees tell your bridesmaids what kind of dress they should be looking into getting for your big day?

I have 4 maids, 3 local and one across the country. The local girls and I went in February to choose our dresses, and we ended up going with the less nice but more affordable DB dresses to accomodate my girl across the country. I’ve been after the last girl for 5 months to go look at try on or do SOMETHING dress related and she’s either ignoring me or giving me the run around. We’ve been waiting for her, but last week the rest of us ordered, and she can figure out her own problems, I’m done. If she doesn’t have a dress when she comes she’s not walking down the aisle.
I voted 7-9 months because that’s when 3/4 of them went and made their selection.

@Tarheelgurl: She needs to let you guys know what dresses y’all are getting no later than the end of July. Perhaps she is having trouble picking one she likes? The BMs dresses were my biggest stress when planning my wedding

Our wedding is early October. Two of my maids ordered their dresses in April, one ordered hers in May, and the other just ordered hers last week. The first two dresses only came in last week, so it took about two months to get them in. We got them at Alfred Angelo.
