Baby #2 was in a bit of a hurry. Lol. Baby 1….. lost mucous plug, Water broke. That lead to a slowwwww labor. Got to 3 cm, then emergency c section due to lack of oxygen and heart decelerations. Baby 2 was a scheduled c section, on 39w 2days. She had other plans. I went into labor 2 days earlier than the scheduled date. I still had a c section, but felt better knowing she was “ready”. Interestingly, I tested “positive” sooner with #2 than with #1. Not sure if that had any correlation with when they each chose to come out or not.

Induced at 41+3, he arrived at pretty much 41+5!

I’m almost 36 weeks along with my first and came to commiserate… I’ve also had a pretty healthy pregnancy… But I know that compared to others I’ve had it rough. Morning sickness til almost 20 Weeks and bad! I stopped working for that time. Sciatica on and off throughout rendering me practically unable to walk for a couple days at a time, problems with my pelvis that have required physical and hydro therapy since 30 weeks (recently diagnosed SPD) , the worst pain I’ve ever felt. Husband Has to help me click my pelvis into place before bed too or else I can even roll over without feeling like the bone is breaking.
I finally went on maternity leave this past Friday and I’m so glad. I had a 10 minute walk to and from the train station to work everyday and it’s winter here, with a super sore pelvis it was hell.
Not to mention the lovely hemmaroids and heartburn and swelling. I’m 5’2 and baby is almost 7lbs already which is apparently pretty huge haha. I’ve also gained 30lbs so far which I know is average but my small frame is really struggling.
I’ve chosen to have a planned c section through a private obstetrician so I’ll be 38w 5d when my daughter arrives. I’m counting the days! All the best hun ♡

Aw Bee, sorry you’re uncomfortable. My baby was born 10 days past the due date. I remember doc telling me (this was in the early 1980’s by the way) that he would not let me go beyond a certain amount of days at which point he would induce labor (which ended up being the day I went into labor), and those words were so sweet to me! (inducing was not done as often as it is now).
Hang in there!

Just stopping by to say hang in there, bee! I’m 36+2 and feel your pain. The last few weeks really feel like an eternity! Wishing you a safe and healthy delivery!

He came 10 days early (so….38+4?…is my math righ?? haha)
I went to dinner the night before and had been having stomach cramps the whole time, then I felt a trickle (8pm) when we got up to leave but thought maybe I’d just peed my pants. A few underware changes and trickles later I felt like it was my water leaking but since going to bed all the cramps had stopped. I just went through the night waiting for contractions to start but they never did. I called my midwife the next morning and told her I was pretty sure I’d been leaking since that night and she sent me to the hospital right away since it had been 12 hours by that point. I got there around 10:30am, they confirmed it was my water, admitted me, and starting inducing. He was born via c-section at 11:24pm that night.

38 + 5, first baby. I remember around 37 weeks I started to get really uncomfortable and was so over it. My husband and I started taking LONG walks every night, and walked about 3 miles the night I went into labor. WALK THAT BABY OUT! Congrats and good luck!

My first was 41 w (induced). I just knew she would be late. I tried almost everything but nothing worked, I don’t think anything does unless you’re already on the verge.
So with my second I did not expect earlier than 40 w either so I wasn’t really wondering if I was going to go into labor at 38 weeks or anything. He came on his own at 40+5. I don’t think I packed a hospital bag until 39 weeks. We also went an hour away for thanksgiving weekend the day after my due date. The morning after we got back is when I went into labor. I didn’t try any tricks to get him out. I was charting so I know the exact day of O, I just carry them longer I guess.
I was pretty comfortable with both at the end, thankfully. I was 10 days early when I was born so who knows.

41w5d induced…I thought I was so ready to be done the whole last month–made my husband stay home every night and implemented a rule that he couldn’t have more than 2 drinks…then I went overdue by almost 2 weeks

38 exactly. never had braxton hicks or anything. Lost my plug a few days before, though. Contractions began at 1am, water broke walking into the hospital at 5am, she was born at 11:06am.
My midwife didn’t come until about 9am as this was my 1st baby and she expected me to take much longer. She got there and was like, “wow, we’re about to have a baby!” hahah

I feel ya! 38 + 1 right now. I was concerned about preterm after starting tons of BH at 31 weeks. Plus I was totally exhausted. Then about 36 weeks the exhaustion and BH both tapered off and I feel pretty good, which is nice but also makes me feel like nothing is happening anytime soon.

My first came at 38+3 weeks. I was uncomfortable but it wasn’t intolerable. I have a high tolerance for pain and discomfort, though. Lol. I had no signs she was coming until the morning I woke up in early labor and she was born at 7:19pm.

Mine came 4 days before my due date. Almost right on schedule!

41+3, I was ready!! Lol. She did not want to come out. I ended up with an induction, 2 days of labour, then finally a c-section. Phew!
