Never heard of this or experienced it! I love my ring. It was my grandmothers and I never had to choose size so maybe that’s why? I also do not like large stones. 🙂

Just add a halo or two. Problem solved.

After about a month I got used to my ring, and began to worry whether the diamond was big enough or not.  After a couple more months, I decided it was perfect, and now it seems just right.  I think the bee had something to do with me thinking it was small.  There are way bigger diamonds on here than I see in real life.

I find it looks bigger, now.

I think it’s due to both weight loss and resizing about a year ago, and being the first in a friend group to get engaged. Before being engaged I didn’t really know what diamonds cost, now we’re seeing most of our friends getting rings smaller than mine (not judging, promise!) and that makes mine feel larger. Some friends who have seen it since day one have even asked if we got it upgraded…

MrsFuzzyFace :  Your ring sparkles and very beautiful. I know what you mean though with the shrinking size. No mater what size of carat we have, we will always experience that. Call me crazy, I have 3.5 carat and some times I swear I feel like it shrinks. I’m also catching myself looking on Instagram for 5 carats hahaha. No harm in day dreaming right? Your ring is absolutely stunning!

1.25, I’ve had my ring for a year and I feel like if anything it’s a bit big.

I’ve had mine a month in a half now and while I don’t think it’s shrinkage, I definitely don’t obsess with the size as much as I did when I first got engaged.  I think it’s because im use to it now. When I first got it I was in awe at how big it looked on my size 4.5 finger. Now she’s just so perfect if that makes sense.

MrsFuzzyFace :  you just get used to it and the newness fades. Do not get on the upgrade hamster wheel… your new ring will always “shrink” and youll never be satisfied if youre chasing the initial “rush”.  To be grateful and see it as new again, take it off for a day.

When my fingers are swolen making my fingers bigger which makes the diamond look smaller, of course. Or when I’m around GINORMOUS rocks.

My solitaire is 0.21cts. I’ve had it on my finger for over a month and a half and it hasn’t shrunk at all. I don’t think it will.

I haven’t even bought my diamond yet and I’m already dealing with diamong shrinkage syndrome!

For me its big some days and small another. I have a 1.50 cushion and it tricks me everyday under different lighting. I must be crazy.

Only when I see bigger rocks in real life can I really see that mine is smaller. Nevertheless I can’t really picture myself wearing a bigger rock, especially since I’ll be getting a sparkly wedding band.

There are days it looks big and days that it looks small. It shrunk the day I changed it from the solitaire setting into the three stone and shrunk again once I added the wedding band. SO i am resetting it all back into a solitaire eternity diamon band with a matching eternity wedding band. SHrinkage is real.
