This may be a shallow question to ask, but how long before your wedding did your gifts start coming in? When did you get the highest volume of gifts?
We’re 98 days out and nothing has been bought from our registries.

Funny you should ask this today. I just came home to an enormous package this evening and it was my first wedding gifts!!! (Whoop whoop) Someone just bought us 3 place settings of our china. We are something like 57 days out and I can’t help but feel like it was provoked by us recently sending our formal invitations out. Naturally we sent little cards describing where we are registered and so people probably decided to scope out the registries. At 98 days I really wouldn’t worry too much. You will probably send out you invites 7-8 weeks before the big day with registry info and you can expect presents then.

Maybe one or two came in 2-3 months ahead! The rest flooded in around the month mark up to and beyond.
Don’t worry–98 days out, your wedding just isn’t on the radar screen for anyone else but you and your nearest and dearest 🙂

We got one gift really early–in March. The friend who sent it thought that stores would hold off to send them until closer to the wedding date. Other than that, we’ve mainly received shower gifts. However, our formal invitations went out earlier this week, and I did notice that a few other items have gone off the registry.

We got two gifts a couple months ago.. very shortly after getting engaged. One was from a close family member and another from my mom’s friend. They both said they were just so excited for everything they went out and bought us something right away. Other than that though, we haven’t gotten anything!

We got a gift from a close friend who couldn’t make it from Korea but I sent an invite anyway. Otherwise, I guess I should be patient but it’s so hard since I don’t think I’m having a shower and its a Destination Wedding. I guess I’m wondering — do people drag gifts all the way to Hawaii or visit the Williams-Sonoma in Hawaii the day before and see what they can find there that’s on my list? I guess I never really thought about it nor planned on having a gift table since… it seem impractical to bring gifts anyway unless they are in card/envelope form. Don’t worry — I’ve incessantly checked my registry and updated things too. A lot. I keep changing my mind.
