On the day of your wedding, when did you photographer arrive? We have “all day coverage” and I’m not sure what time we should have the photographer show up. Wedding isn’t until 6pm and I don’t think I’ll even start getting ready until close to noon.
What did you do?

@hecallsmelove: I’m wondering the same thing… We have a 5pm ceremony with photos before, so I think we’re going to aim to start photos at 2:30, so maybe have them arrive at 2 so we take some “getting ready” photos before the first look. Still not sure though.

Our ceremony starts at 2:30. We are starting to get ready at 7 and she will be there around 8.

I sat down with the photographer to figure it all out based on what we wanted and her knowledge of how long things take. She will be joining us at about 1:30 with our ceremony starting at 4:30. We are doing a next day session with FH, my son and I though, so that takes a chunk out of the wedding day picture time!

Our first look starts at 2:30. I guess I’m just unsure how long getting ready pics take

I like to arrive when the bride’s makeup is being applied, unless she’s getting it done in a salon and then it doesn’t always make sense from a time and logistical standpoint to be there. Definitely before the dress gets put on, but you don’t need them there when you wake up.

Our photographers came to my house around 10. Our ceremony was at 2:30. They wanted to get pictures of me and my girls getting ready and also have enough time to take pictures of the bridesmaids before we head to church.
We had them for 11 hours. It was perfect!

We had all day coverage so our photographer arrived at the salon with us at like 9:30am. That way she could take photos of us getting hair and makeup done. Her husband (our second shooter) went to the barber shop with the guys at like 10am too.

My photographers are scheduled to arrive an hour before the ceremony to capture me stepping into my dress.

I did hair and makeup started at noon- done a little before 2. Photographer came to hotel room at 2pm to take photos of me getting in to my dress. The other photographer was with the groom to take pics of the guys getting ready.
3pm- first look and pics with bride/groom
4pm- bridal party pics
4:30pm – family pics
10pm- photographers left
We had 2 photographers for 8 hours and it worked out perfectly
