When did your wedding start to feel close, where time started flying and it stopped feeling like some far-away dream?
We’re still doing the long distance thing, possibly until the wedding- I am so excited to move to the same city, get married and start our lives together, but June still feels so far away! When will it get easier? What was your experience?

I’m getting married in 34 days and it still doesn’t feel close!

@coastalbee88: My Darling Husband and I had a long-distance relationship for our entire relationship, so I can relate somewhat. (We even were long-distance approximately half of each week for the first year of our marriage until after I was able to sell my house and resign my job in my city/state.)
Our wedding began feeling very real once I mailed our invitations and began receiving replies, so I voted two to three months to go. Hang in there! 🙂

I have 27 days left, and I’m started to feel overwhelmed!
The moment it started to feel real was when I was looking for a night I could go get a hotel/hang out with my Maid/Matron of Honor between now and the wedding and I realized that I have 3 weekends left, and have plans for all of them! My time is dwindling, luckily I have a lot of things ‘done.’
Don’t worry, it will get here! Try and relax and get as much done as possible now. I’m realizing theres no such thing as getting stuff done too early if you are set in your theme/venue!

It started to feel close at 6 months because the previous year of being engaged went so fast! I started to feel panicked and in crunch time around 3 months though because I had soooo much to do and time was going faster and faster! The entire last month was a busy blur. I was so tired when it was all over!

I have less than two weeks, and it still hasn’t hit me. I’ve been super busy though and it’s a tiny, tiny wedding. Plus we already are legally married, so it’s just not on my mind. I think a few days before when I’m getting my nails done and making the final arrangments it will really hit me and I’ll be like “oh it’s right there!” but even then I might go to bed the night before and have a panic attack because I’ll just then realize I’m having a wedding.

I just got the realization today that I will now be saying I am getting married “next month,” and I was like “Holy crap, I’m getting married!” I am so used to thinking of my wedding as a far off date that is over a year away, or almost a year away, or still six months away, etc. And now it’s like THISCLOSE. I think of what I was doing a month ago, and it feels like days ago… I know the next month is going to FLY by. Ahhhh!!!

I voted 6-9 months away……i’m about 8 months out and i’m having wedding nightmares already…but we’re also planning to find a place (we don’t live together yet) months before as well…so it’s a lot of stress!

I just got married on Saturday, and for me it didn’t feel real until a few days before.

Mine is in just over two weeks and it still doesn’t feel close. At all. I don’t think it’ll even feel real til the day of.

About 3 weeks out. I went on a weekend trip for my bachelorette, and after I returned I felt like every moment was taken up with wedding tasks, clearing my desk at work to take time off, and getting the house ready for guests. It was definitely a whirlwind!

Once I hit the two month mark I started to go “oh wow! It’s really right around the corner!” at the one month mark I started to freak out a little. Now I’m 19 days out and I don’t even know where to start with all of the stuff I have to do!

I’m not sure. For me it was at certain times, like the one-year countdown! then 6 months, etc.
I remember at 6 months though my heart started to beat faster. I knew I had to get things DONE lol.
It also felt awesome when we got our marriage license.
