So, I see some brides get all dressed up and stuff months before they actually get married, and take their bridal portraits then…is this what you’re supposed to do?
My dress doesnt get altered until after October, so I really dont know if I would have the time to do this, nor do I want to ruin my dress by accident or get something on it, get it dirty, etc.
When did you get your bridal portraits done?

You don’t have to do bridal portraits. No offense to people who have them done, I just don’t see the point. Don’t you want pictures from your actual wedding day instead of like a random Tuesday you got dressed up and took pictures in an unrelated location?

I always thought you had them done the day of…
Our photographer is going to come to my mum’s like 1/2 hr to 45 minutes before we leave (we’re all getting ready there), and do a few of just me then.

I had never even heard of bridal portraits until I moved to the South, but they are a huge deal here. I am the only one out of all my friends who live here that is not having them done, actually!
Some girls have done them earlier in the day of their actual wedding, while others have actually gotten all dressed up and taken them prior to the wedding. I think it’s all up to your preference.
I personally would rather do them the day of because I would be worried about getting makeup, dirt, etc. on my dress before my actual wedding!

Yeah I was thinking of doing them the day of, possibly before the wedding. I don’t want a whole lot taken, just enough to get food shots of my dress, shoes, hair, etc. That way when I’m old and wrinkly I can look back and see how gorgeous I was. hahaha 😛

@agirlwithdreams7: Haha good thinking. 🙂 I’m sure they will be gorgeous photos. Best of luck to you!

Okay let me correct that…I want “good shots” not “food shots” hahahha
But thanks! 🙂
