@Dr Pepper:  I think it’s polite to give them until the deadline.  Your expectations need to be the same as your deadline!

Yes you need to give them to the deadline… nagging them beforehand is not cool (or polite)

That said, you really should have built in a “buffer” as well (maybe a week).  So that the stragglers who mailed their RSVPs on the day that the reply was due (I know it sucks, but people do do it)… would have time for the mail service to get those replies to you before you start making phone calls.

Something to take into consideration if you ever find yourself issuing invites again with RSVPs (Baby Christenings, Anniversary Parties, Kid’s Sweet 16s etc)

@Dr Pepper:  They’ll respond quickly once you contact them.  When that time comes, a text, e-mail, phone call, facebook message is more than appropriate.  Nothing formal at that point!
