You need to tell them. Your job requires exposure to X-rays and nitrous oxide (laughing gas) both of which are harmful in pregnancy and you will need to avoid – this may significantly affect your ability to carry out your duties on a day to day basis. Plus it’s a health and safety issue for your employer.

mariestar33 :  I interviewed and accepted the job I have now while I was 10-11 weeks pregnant. I didn’t feel like I was decieving them at all because my pregnancy wasn’t and shouldn’t have been a factor. I waited until I was 20 weeks (it was my first week back for the school year) to tell them. All I got were congratulations. Unless there is something about the job that could impact the pregnancy (X rays maybe), I would wait until you hit the second trimester.

Business is business.  You do your job and don’t worry about anything else.  Right now your pregnancy has nothing to do with him.  When you start to show you can tell him.  Right now, just keep it to yourself.
