Congrats on the weight loss!

Have you spoken to a seamstress yet?  You may want to make an appointment and see how much alterations will cost before you decide to ditch this dress.  The first app should be free.  I’m wondering if you could add a corset back?  But, I don’t sew.  🙂

Congrats on the weight loss and that dress is gorgeous!

In my experience, a dress can typically go down 2-3 sizes depending on a couple things. I think yours will be in this range because of the boning. Once a seamstress has to move the boning to make the dress fit properly it gets very expensive and in most cases is easier to reorder the dress in the smaller size.

I would take the dress to a few different seamstresses now and see what they say, but I would be leary of anyone who said that they could take it in more than that without pulling out the boning.

Hope This Helps

I was worried about loosing too much weight for my wedding and I was told my dress could be altered down to 5 sizes. Try taking it into a seamstress and see what they say. If it’s going to ruin the dress or cost as much as a new one then I’d say get a new dress.
