Only time I take my rings off are to shower and when I’m cleaning with chemicals.  Other than that my rings are on my finger at all times.

Congrats on your engagement! I never EVER take mine off. I read a story on here where she took her ring off to put lotion on in the park, and left it on the bench. Gone forever!!! Since then, it never ever comes off. Shower, working out, nothing.

just to shower or go into the pool/ocean. we have insurance on the ring but i still dont want to lose it or damage it. it has too much sentimental value included in the monetary value that the insurance just couldnt cover…. ive only had it a few days but i probably would take it off to do dishes.. or cooking with dough… or things of that nature where it might get something sticky/dirty on it.

But I always carry my ring box with me to have a safe place to store it. It always goes back in  my purse never on a table or a bench!

When I’m cleaning, ocean/lake/river/pool, also for like 2 seconds while I put lotion on my face in the mornings. Other than that it’s always on!

I have had my ring for over three months and I wear it all the time, including when showering, sleeping and washing up!

The only time I will take it off is if my hands are going to get extremely messy with food preparation or if I go swimming. I also have a home clearner for it that I use maybe once or twice a month.

If I am in a somewhat dodgy area, I twist it on my finger so it only looks like a plain band.

The only time I take it off is when I have clients (I’m a massage thearpist, I don’t think they want to be jabbed/scraped by my ring)

I only wear mine when I leave the house. I’m afraid of taking ot off somewhere in the house and losing it, or having it go down the drain. I also don’t wear it to the gym or to do yardwork. And if I quick run out to the store or something I might not wear it either.

I’m newly engaged, too (just two weeks or so), but I take mine off at night (I don’t want it to fall off in my sleep or have the prongs catch on the sheets and get damaged), when I shower, when I work out (I swell really bad), when I put lotion on, when cleaning/using nail polish remover and when dealing with goopy things (making hamburgers, rolling out cookie dough)….I think tht’s it πŸ™‚

Congratulations!

I take both my rings off when I’m:

  • handling raw meat or messy foods or mixing with my hands
  • planting stuff/mulching/doing yard work
  • getting super messy at work – I make candles for a living

I will not be wearing my engagement ring on our intercontinental honeymoon next week.  I love my ring and it is insured, but I’d prefer to have just my low-profile wedding band for the trip.

I take mine off to shoeer, sleep, when I’m cooking something messy, when I put on lotion, and when I go to the gym. The weights were scratching my band and when I get hot and sweaty my fingers get hot and feel swollen around my ring.
