Jin1 :  Is it medication that a doctor has given?  Taking clomid without a doctor knowing or monitoring can be dangerous.  It can cause hyperstimuation which is fatal.  I wouldn’t take clomid unless a doctor had given it to me for a reason, or I was being monitored.  Just my medical field opinion.

if you are using a sperm donor, i would assume you are under the care of an RE.

the days to start can and the dosage can vary.

i would follow the doctor’s orders.

Yes, a medical doctor.

If your wife ends up getting pregnant and stops taking the progesterone before a certain time during her pregnancy it could cause a miscarriage, and if she is already ovulating on her own, clomid could do irreversible damage to her cycle. I am seriously hoping you guys arent naive enough to mess with fertility medications without professional monitoring.

Every lady and every doctor is different, and you start taking the clomid during the days of your cycle that your dr knows will benefit you and your eggs best.

If you’re going through the trouble and expense, skip the at home ICI and do IUI at a clinic.  It may cost a little more, but the success rate is much higher and she should be monitored with joint clomid and progesterone protocal.
