I take off all my jewelry before bed and also take my rings off before handling raw meat/kneading dough or any other messy kitchen things. I’m travelling for work right now and noticed that in the warmer weather they’ve become a lot looser so to be on the safe side am taking it off while snorkelling/surfing. It feels so odd not to look down and not see it!

I only take mine off to cook and clean.

Before the gym, while cleaning or cooking (if I am doing some heavy prep).

At first, I did not take my ER off before bed and the next morning I would find random scratches all over my face. I guess I wiggle and move a lot during sleep.

I e only been engaged two days and before I thought I’d never take my ring off but I’m kind of over sleeping in it already just is t comfy probably because I’m not used to it. And I’ve taken it off to shower and get dressed and all that. I’m thinking that’ll be the routine

I take mine off to shower, wash up dishes, after a spray tan and putting on lotions. Sometimes if I’m home all day and I’m not wearing it, then have to rush out. I’ll just step out the door and I’ll feel something’s ‘missing’ and have to head back in to put them on lol

The only time I ever wear my ring is when I go out. Putting it on is one of the last things I do before going anywhere and I usually take it off right when I get home. My ring has a lot of intricate details and cut outs so I’m concerned about dirt and stuff getting built up in it. If I’m out and wash my hands of need to put on lotion I generally stick it in my purse of pocket then too.

damarajade:  Pretty much never. I keep them on even when i’m doing my hair.. which means It gets gunked up with hair product. which means I have to clean it often.

But I like having them on

I think it depends on what your stones and metals are as well as your personal preference. I like to keep my jewelry as clean as possible, so I take it off to shower, cook, clean, work out, and anything that involves getting my hands dirty. Sometimes I’ll sleep with my jewelry on.

I take it off in the shower and at the the gym. Ironically enough, I still lost some of my pave diamonds in the band! It’s being fixed right now…sheesh.

I guess I’m just wondering what the point is and what could happen if you don’t take it off? I did take it off for showers and dishes but I have an 8 month old and just stopped doing it all bc I’m sometimes in a frantic rush with the little one. Lol. Thanks ladies!

I rarely take my ring off. Showering won’t hurt it, nor will sleeping in it or swimming with it on. I do take it off to mix raw meat or to lift weights, but not for much else. Statistically, it is likely safer on your finger than off.
