Take it off to sleep, and take it off to wash my hands. That’s it

I only take it off if I’m baking or doing something really messy with my hands. Otherwise, my ring is always on my finger!

I take it off for the gym. Mainly because my fingers swell so much when I workout (weights, cardio, etc.). I also take it off as I shower so I don’t get shampoo and soap jammed in the setting.

I am wanting to get a QALO ring for the gym!

Sleeping and showering. My Fiance wanted me to take it off near anything with a drain and in the snow but I told him he was being ridiculous 😛

Only to shower, because I’m still terrified of it somehow slipping off for the first time and going down the drain. And of course when swimming for the same reason. There was once when I was cleaning frantically and kept bumping it on things so I took it off, but I wear it to work out, sleep, etc.

I only take off my ring when I’m cooking, doing the dishes, doing my hair (it’s super curly and hurts like the dickens when it snags a strand), showering, sports/gym and gardening.

I only take my ring off in the shower, and honestly I forget most times. I will not take my wedding ring off for any reas though – Darling Husband has to do it and it better be a really good reason. That’s my rule, not his.

I take it off when I’m washing my hair or showering as I dont like it getting all clogged with shampoo, shower gel etc. I take it off if I am mixing food with my hands and I take it off when washing dishes. I very rarely use fake tan but I obviously take it if I do. I never take it off to sleep though. In fact, I only heard that this was a thing a few months ago. I dont mean to sound stupid but is there some obvious reason people take them off to go to sleep that I am missing?

dishes, hand washing, cleaning, pruning orchard trees or any other outdoor work (except mowing the lawn), hiking (fingers swell), shower, bed, peeling oranges or handling any other messy foods… I’m sitting on the couch right now not wearing my rings b/c I dropped them off when I started meals an hour or so ago.  So yeah… I only wear my rings to work, out shopping and stuff like that.  At home I barely wear them at all.

I’ve often wondered if in part it’s because I’m a lefty, becuase a lot of people are really surprised how little I wear them.  But honestly, who wants to wipe their ass with their rings on? (as my most extreme, obviously)

lolatheshowgirl:  I don’t like banging my stones against my skin or my husband by accident.  Nighttime is when I’m least aware of my hands and the position of my ring.  It just makes me uncomfortable to have it on and my rings aren’t even large!

When I shower, when I get ready for bed, when I cook or prep something messy (like carving a turkey), when I clean, and when I put lotion on my hands. my rings are usually in my jewelry box when I’m at home and I put them on when I’m getting ready to leave and take them off when I get home.

lolatheshowgirl:  I don’t have a particular reason why I don’t sleep with rings on. Just a habit. Not even sure what most ppl do.

petitenoonie:  maybe have a ring dish next to the sink or in the bathroom…wherever you find yourself taking it off.
