Cleaning, cooking or eating messy oily foods, showering, lotion and swimming. Really anything that will damage/lose it. Although, I smack it on everything so there is not point.

I used to take it off when I slept or showered, but now it depends. I always take it off when I go swimming though as the water can make my ring slip off. I also take it off when I put on lotion or wash the dishes.

RayKay:  Huh! I never knew that!

I still have paranoia about microscopic poop particles sitting around on my ring all day, but that’s between me and my therapist.

I take mine off to shower, butcher or do something else with meat, if I’m prepping anything messy, if I’m doing anything for moving, etc.  I have some pave and a halo on my ring and I would not want to gunk it up.

I rarely wear it (or any other jewelry) for more than half an hour after coming home.

JessRae:  I take it off when I’m cooking, when I’m sleeping, when I’m showering and when I’m excercising.
