I take it off usually when I go to sleep, if it is really warm and my fingers are swelling, when I shower and when I am doing work where I could hurt it with chemicals.

haha, I wear mine at night, in the shower, at work…only not when I’m doing dishes…and sometimes when I shower…otherwise it typically doesn’t come off.

Well…unless I’m having it cleaned (for free!). And it probably wouldn’t go back on too good, esp in the summer, my fingers swell up a lot!

I take my Ring off when I am cleaning, Dishes, Showering, putting lotion on and at night when Im ready to catch some Zzzzzzz’s. I dont want any chemicals or soap residue to dull the shininess of my Bling and at night my ring gets on my nerves. If I fall asleep with it on, I get up and take it off because its annoying

I take mine off at bedtime and I put it on again after I shower in the morning.

I also take it off when I am doing dirty work, like washing dishes, gardening, ectect…

Otherwise, I am always wearing it.

I never take my ring off… At my old job I never wore it because I had to have it fixed twice, but now never and honestly my ring shows it. My ring is really beat up.

I take mine off when I do the dishes/cook & when I shower or do any harsh cleaning using chemicals. Otherwise I wear it all the time, even when I’m sleeping.

Wow I cant believe that all of you take of your rings when you do different stuff, do you actually remember every time to put it back on right away?

I take mine off only when I put lotion on, and put it back right on, or if I am baking, thats about it.

I believe that he put it on my finger to wear it all the time and not to play with it.

I know a girl who had a $10 000 ring and worked in a salon, she took it off and placed in a “safe place” and forgot to put it on at the end of her shift, and guess what IT WAS GONE when she returned to pick it up the next morning! I guess that just her luck, poor guy who worked over time just to be able to buy her an expensive ring!

My ring is on almost all the time.. I take it off only when Im cleaning, or carrying anything heavy, gardening, helping Fiance work on the trucks or in the garage, or doing my hair. (it hurts when my hair gets caught in it <sniff>) or any time where I could possibly scratch or bang my ring while doing something.

Over the years I have heard you should take your ring off to sleep..sometimes I forget, and my ring is fine, but I try to remember to take it off just because its so big and not very comfortable to sleep on 🙂

When I first got it I would take it off for shower, lotion, and make-up. But I was 50/50 on remembering to put it back on right away. Now only reason I’ll take my ring off is for serious cleaning. Otherwise it’s always on.

When I just got my ring I had the same question and posted it here on the weddingbee. At that point the ring felt very foreign on my hand I kept wanting to take it off. Now, over 3 months later, I still take it off quite often, but not as often as before. I take it off at night and when I do dishes (not always) and when I shower. I sometimes take it off when I get home from work and sometimes leave it on. If it’s a weekend and I’m at home, then I do not put it on. Although I feel less and less concious of the ring, so it’s getting easier for me to keep it on more.

@Lapato: I do not and would not EVER remove my ring if I was not at my home. Never ever! I couldnt imagine any reason why I would have to. I also never leave home without it, and never forget it. My ring is 98% of the time right where it is supposed to be. I understand the reasons behind removing your ring when you are doing something that could possibly damage it. Its not indestructible for sure, and id rather be without it for 15 mins than really be suffering cuz its in the shop getting an overhaul for 2 weeks lol

I wear mine all the time.  I took it off once at work while putting lotion on, and forgot it.  Thank goodness I realized it and went back soon enough that it was still there.  Never again.  I loveee my ring.  Never wanna lose it again.  I can always get it cleaned, but not replaced.
