I take mine off a fair amount, but almost always have it on whenever I leave the house/yard. I take it off to jog, wash dishes, cooking/baking when I need to get my hands in there, sleeping, showering. My ring was fairly pricey, but I also take it off alot because I like it keep it as clean as I can!

BWLE:  I think I’m one of those extra careful brides, and yes I have my ring insured. But I’m also really sentimental, which is probably another big reason why I take it off at home!

BWLE:  I take mine off all the time and I do have it insured. And I could have it cleaned/fixed anytime I would need.

Mine was quite expensive but I only take mine off to shower, half the time when I wash my hands and all the tiem when I put lotion on. It stays on when I play VB, workout, lift etc.  Its my ring, its part of me and while it was expensive, I can’t baby it forever….besides I feel naked without it on now 🙂

I have a 2ctw(1.4 ct center) ering and I take it off to clean, bathe my kids, cook ect.. I don’t take it off when I get home just because right now I’m a stay at home mom and that means I’d never get to wear it lol!  I figure it’s insured and my rings need to be enjoyed not sit in a box…life is short.

I wear mine 24/7 except for when i shower. i take it off right before i hop in and put it on right when i step out (well, after putting lotion on). I do this b/c I feel like getting shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion on it every day will make it foggier/create a film over it.

I take it to get it cleaned at the jewler about once every two weeks. It’s a 1.2 carat diamond, cost about 8.5k.

I absolutley LOVE sleeping in it. i hate sleeping in all other jewelry, except my ring.

I feel like if i took it off any more, I would lose it. Thats why I try to never take it off.

alpinebride:  THe ONLY time I take my ring off is when I am doing the dishes, cleaning and taking a shower. I have specific spots I put my ring so I am not putting it down places and forgetting where I put it! Other than that I NEVER take it off or leave the house without it.

I really only take it off if I’m cooking something messy, using harsh chemicals, or getting ready to clean it.

I only take my rings off when I’m handling raw meat or deep cleaning the house.

I take mine off to shower, wash dishes, work out, before bed. Guess I just feel weird doing things that might be dirty or uncomfortable with it. To be fair though I would probably do this with most rings.

alpinebride:  I take mine off when I sleep, shower and sometimes once I get home. My ring is large and sometimes snags on stuff so I am ok when I’m not wearing it.

I take my rings off as soon as I get home. I do not clean, cook, bathe or sleep in them, ever.

I have a 1.51 princess cut solitaire in platinum and a platinum half-eternity band. I don’t know the diamond size for the wedding band, but they are small. I like the dainty look for a band.

I hate taking mine off, but I’ve had to start taking it off when we go to the gym in the mornings because those metal bars and dumbell handles are killing the inside.  It’s 18k and all the milgrain is getting worn down and it looks rather beaten up.  I only just noticed how bad it got a little while ago.  Other than that, though, I ALWAYS have it on 😀

ETA – I forgot, I do take it off to knead the bread or make meatloaf because the band is all twisty and stuff gets stuck in it (eww).  If it were a solid band, I probably wouldn’t take it off.

I take my e-ring off when I get home because it scratches my baby.  I always leave my wedding band on unless I’m doing something really messy like painting or waxing my legs and I don’t want paint or wax all in the prongs, but it goes right back on after I clean my hands.  My e-ring has double pave halos so I also don’t sleep or shower with it on to protect the setting and keep diamonds form falling out.

alpinebride:  The only times I take off my ring is when I’m in the shower and when I am working. I’m a baker and I would rather not lose my ring in dough or get dough into my ring lol. For work though I put it onto my necklace so that way I know it is always safe.

My ring is delicate and old. I take it off to protect it, when I have to work with chemicals. I also take it off to shower, cook, or put on lotion.
