Memberto all the WAITING Bees—just curious as to when you think you will be getting engaged!?
I REALLY think it is going to happen end of May…we are putting a deposit on the venue tomorrow to get the date we want for next May 26, 2013- memorial day weekend! eeeeeeeeeeeee !
MemberSO has been hinting at a summer proposal, do I chose July because its the middle summer month. I have no clue though, I wish it was now lol
MemberI bet for you it will be July, once he has the ring I could hardly think he would want to hold on to it that long!
MemberMy ring is being designed but should be done by the end of May. My SO has been hinting at wanting to propose on a special date so I’m guessing August. Our anniversary and my b-day are in August. But we’ll see….
Membermy first guess, based on the clues SO has dropped, is the very beginning of may. if it doesn’t happen then, then i have no idea when it will. the thing is i know he wants to get me a ring, even though i’ve told him i don’t really need one, and i’m also about 99% sure that he doesn’t have one. i think he also wants it to happen before we move out (end of first week in may). so uh….i dunno how his plan’s gonna work out. i’m kind of just along for the ride. XD
MemberNow that we’ve finished ring shopping, I’d give SO a few weeks to order a ring and then an extra couple for it to come in…so that’d put us into June. However, we are planning a trip to Boston to visit his Nana in July/August, so I could see him waiting until then…he’s talking about renting a little place on the coast for a couple days while we’re out there, so that got my spidey sense tingling. Either way I’m pretty sure it will be before the end of summer! 🙂
MemberHaha I voted for clueless. We’ve been together for nearly 8 years and I’d love to get engaged (and we’ve talked about getting married) but it’s just not the right time yet, for various reasons. I like not knowing. I’m happy because I know that’s where we’re headed and he knows I’d like to get engaged before we hit the 10 year mark (lol) so I’m happy to just wait and be clueless for a while. 🙂
MemberI have no idea. He said before the end of the year. Other than that, we have no big events that i can think of. I hope before September…and he just stole my phone and read all that. LOL at least he knows now.
MemberMy guess is June, but sometime this summer. My parents kind of put a wrench in things (they mentioned thinking we were rushing and now BF is a bit nervous) but I think BF and I have an understanding that it will be this summer.
MemberI’m pretty sure that he has the ring in the house! Although, I think I will be waiting until his semester is done before he will do any asking. So I really think it could be in May or June!

MemberI voted for August only because I know we’re planning to go on a cruise then before my BF starts law school. Also, I once gave him a half-joking 5-year ultimatum, our 5th anniversary is in December, and he doesn’t usually wait til the last minute. But, part of me could also say clueless b/c he’s so good at surprises. I’m just like pulling my hair out over this whole waiting thing!!!!
MemberI’ll probably be ready mid-late 2013, but our job security right now isn’t ideal. So either 2013 or 2015 (I don’t want to begin our engagement in 2014- I hate even numbers). But definitely by the end of 2015 since we should be moving overseas that year and that’s my “deadline” mostly because I’d rather actually be engaged in case we have to marry for visa purposes (people with student visas are only allowed to work around 100 hours a year which wouldn’t really work).
MemberI am going to Vegas in two weeks with the girls and so I fairly positive he will be getting it while I am gOne. But I pickedJune since we are gone every weekend in may (wedding, golf tournament, family trip).
MemberDecember. We take one “big” (well, big on a budget lol) trip a year and this one’s going to be in December in DISNEY!!! :D:D:D:D
