I put it on every morning and after daytime showers (i.e., post-gym). I shower at night sometimes, but don’t put it on if I’m just going to bed.

Side note: I don’t like to reapply unless to a fresh pit, so I’ve been known to undress top half of my body and washing only ze pitz before reapplication, occasionally this could happen if I’m in a public-but-private-restroom-stall-with-its-own-wash-basin if I find that I’m carrying a deo stick and the urge strikes me (which I’m normally not but when travelling I might).

I apply it after every shower, even at night

BUT, I just learned this past weekend that my Brother-In-Law decided to not wear deodorant to a football game because he knew he was “just going to smell bad anyways”. When we got in the car, he REEKED. Like. I get it– we all smell a little sweaty from being outside, but to forego because “eh, sweat!” I thought was super weird. And smelly.

I’m the same…I put deodorant on every single time I shower or else I feel weird.  If I shower 3x in a day I put on deodorant 3x in a day.

I never put it on to go to bed.  I only put it on during the day or if I’m going out at night. I shower at night and I always wash it off so my skin can breathe.

stevielee :  I put it on after I get out of the shower, and so most days that falls early in the morning and then sometime in the evening (not necessarily RIGHT before bed, but like after 7pm). I’ll also put some on if I am going out, regardless of when my last/next shower and deo combo was, lol.

My mom always told me that people sweat overnight and to wear a little dab. She also told me that I should make sure I’m always wearing cute underwear in case a hot fireman/paramedic/doctor had to treat me at any unexpected point. Sooo I feel like her bedtime advice re: deodorant was slightly skewed (as in, “wear deodorant so that one day you’ll smell good for your bed-mate”) lol.

In general I just like to feel fresh and smell fresh, regardless of whose company I’m in, so like I said…always after shower, and any time I’m headed out

Actually deodorant and wedding related:

I like trying new products, my favourite deo is Mitchum stick, before my wedding I saw a new Mitchum on the shelf in Boots, some kind of MAX strength to be put on overnight. I didn’t really pay attention to that it was peroxide. I used it for 3 days before the wedding and it seemed very effective though unscented so a little “weird” to get used to. My pits were very very dry. Literally the night before wedding I’m noticing a small area of irritation in one pit but just thought it was nothing much, applied a fresh layer to each pit and it was just stinging progressively for the next several minutes until I washed everything off, concluded I now had a very very noticeable red dry rash under my arm and dabbed lotion repeatedly before falling asleep and waking up to thankfully a normal looking pit. I had brought my usual scented deo with me as well and used it for the wedding instead, without reapplication.

Peroxide deo in the bin!

stevielee :  Yeah he is… interesting. This thread did inspire me to go put on some more deodorant, though!

stevielee :  I shower at night and apply right after I shower. I just feel weird if I don’t. Besides, I sleep hot so I’d rather not risk waking up smelly if I sweat during the night. I like to reapply in the morning because I use a natural deodorant (PiperWai) and it does need to be reapplied if I sweat. And it smells so good!

julies1949 :  I heard that too, but I wonder if this is only if you don’t shave. I always need to reapply after shaving. if I don’t…. let’s just say it’s bad.

stevielee :  I’m a night showerer and apply in the morning. sometimes I think I should apply at night, maybe it would work better.

stevielee :  most of the time I shower before bed and most of the time put deodorant after the shower uness I just shaved my armpits. I have sensitive skin so if I just shaved my armpits i cant put deodorant right away. So I wipe them down with rubbing alcohol (this prevents them from getting rashes or stinky) and then in the morning I apply deodorant. If they dont feell as fresh in the morning then i wipe them down with a baby wipe and then a wet face cloth, dry and apply deodorant. Done. I shave my armpots about 1-2 times a week (again, sensitive skin) so all the other days I apply deodorant after shower what ever time of day it it (usually before bed). Gosh this is such a weird toppic lo 😂

Oh and obviously on some days I have to shower more than once so I apply deodorant after every shower. Or should I day deodorat/antipersperant. It works better as a preventative not as a masker. So it has to be applied on clean skin before the sweating starts! Lol
