I have an antiperspirant that I put on at night. It’s extra strength because I sweat a crazy lot.
My SO, however, doesn’t put on deoderent ever. At all. He doesn’t need it. He’s half Filipino, and I Googled it and found that there are some Asians who don’t have the gene that makes their armpits sweaty. I’m not crazy, google it. He seriously does not smell at all, ever. I mean, he smells of sweat after he works out, but he does not smell of BO from his armpits. It’s linked to him having dry ear wax.
Seriously, Google “armpits don’t smell dry ear wax.” I’m really jealous of my SO.

stevielee : Morning before work and after any shower. Often times before bed even if I haven’t showered. Like you it was just taught to me at an early age. Plus, I have a really weird fear of smelling bad. It freaks me out.

I only put it on in the morning, and even then, like PP said, if I’m having a lazy day bumming with the dogs – I don’t put any on. BUT I almost never sweat. I can run miles, do hot yoga, train the dogs in 90 degree weather, and not sweat. I’m not sure if that’s healthy or not, I’m a very hydrated person, and no doctor has ever been concerned, so I don’t know. I guess I’m at the other end of the spectrum for weird?
You do you – if he calls you weird again, just tell him you’ll stop wearing it all together, and see what he says then!

Immediately after I get out of the shower, which is usually at night! I’ll sometimes put it on before I go to bed even if I’ll be showering in the morning and just want a touch up. I don’t see any harm, and I do not want to wake up with sticky pits! Yuck.

julies1949 : Yes! I was just going to say this.
You should be putting it on when your pits are clean, after a shower is ideal. It also works a lot better at night when you’re sleeping.

Hello, your body sweats at night too! I’m the exact same, I put on deoderant religiously after each shower, but also during the day if I feel like I need to freshen up! (And bedtimes) I really think you can’t go wrong using deoderant often, I’d say it’s much better than the alternative!

stevielee : I put it on every morning and in the evenings if I have an evening shower. The only time I don’t is if I’m going to bed immediately after a shower. I’m a sweaty person though and I really can’t afford to skip it.

I put it in when I’m getting ready for the day. To each their own.

stevielee : I put it on every morning. Usually, I shower at night right before bed, so I don’t put it on after the shower as I’ve just washed myself and shouldn’t have too foul an odor before bed. I usually apply deodorant once a day and then will reapply if it’s a particularly hot day.

I put on deodorant if I’m going out or working out. If I’m just going to be home lounging, I don’t see a need.

stevielee : I put it on every time after I shower (including before bed, I don’t see why that’s strange). I think if I didn’t I might get sweaty and smelly in bed and wake up feeling not-fresh and that’s icky. I also put it on every morning before I leave regardless of whether or not I showered in the morning. Try to put it on right before going to the gym and right after too.

stevielee : Usually when I am getting dressed in the morning. And I’ll admit never when I’m going to bed and if I’m having a pj day I don’t see the point, not doing anything to warrant it.

Tbh I forget most of the time in the morning. My deoderant is in my handbag, so the idea is that I will put it on as I go out the door but I rarely do. I spray perfume though. I think Im lucky in that I dont sweat much and working in a freezing cold office helps! I will use it if I lnow Im doing sweatier activity though.
