    I take mine off when I cook. I used to work in food prep in a hospital so the idea of cooking with a ring on is just crazy for me hygiene wise 😛 I also used to take it off during work because no rings in the hospital.

    Otherwise I don’t take it off, I don’t see the need to.

    I take it off when I shower/bathe, use lotion, cook, clean, do dishes and filing at work. Often, I’ll take it off when I cook and not put it back on until I leave the next morning.

    I take mine off when I shower and if I’m doing something gross in the kitchen or in the yard (ha, who am I kidding – I’m never in the yard…but if I were I’d take my ring off!)  Wink

    I take my ring off anytime water is involved, when I am sleeping and when I am cleaning.

    I take mine off to clean, shower, put lotion on (I don’t want lotion to get caught in-between my finger and ring, it feels funny.) and to cook and bake sometimes if I have to use my hands, like making hamburger patties, and if my finger has been hurt. I don’t want to take it off, but I don’t want it to get dirty or damaged or lost.

    I never take it off in public no matter what I’m doing, I’m too afraid to loose it!

    But, at home I take it off to clean, cook raw meat, shower, put on make up and after scratching myself several times in my sleep, take it off every night before bed too 🙂

    I try to not take mine off ever except for when touching meat or baking. I shower and sleep with it on. Recently the cold weather has made it a bit loose so I stopped wearing it for a few days. I don’t like to wear it in the ocean but have by accident a couple of times. That’s where I fear losing it the most. I have once left it at home while going out late at night when I knew I would be riding public transportation because sometimes I get freaked out when I notice someone looking at it.

    I take mine off at night.  But recently we went to visit FI’s family in Brazil and had to leave the ring in America because it was too dangerous to wear it around the city down there…felt naked without it!

    I take mine off when I go to bed, shower, wash dishes, wash the dogs… basically that’s it!  But I wouldn’t take it off in a public place, just at home!

    I only take it off before I shower and put it back on after I’ve done my hair and makeup.

    Oh!  And if I work out at the gym and swim- pools are terrible for jewelry and I don’t want to lose it…  other than that, it stays on me always.

    Yup, when I cook, clean, shower and sleep.

    The only time I ever take it off outside of my home is when we’re over at others and I’m helping with cooking/cleaning then I put it somewhere safe. And at work when I put lotion on.

    My Mother-In-Law told me to NEVER wear it when I sleep because overtime the fabric of your blanket will pull at the prongs. She’s actually lost a diamond like that before! Better safe than sorry.

    @jenewitt:

    I left mine at home during our Honeymoon as well! I had a dummy band but still felt naked!
