Commenting to follow thread as I am currently 3 days overdue and (im)patiently waiting.  But how exciting that you are full term!  Congrats and hope you have an easy last month of pregnancy.

i was in your shoes… unfortunately i went 6 days past my due date… which was right on by my calculatoons since i was charting. my baby was also face up which didnt help since he couldnt move into the birth canal as efficiently. regardless, i waited it out as i did not want to be induced, and my water broke on its own and i went into labor 🙂

The day after the due date. First baby, born by cesarean after 50 hours of labor. I was told she should have been born a week earlier because of her skin being flakey from losing her vernix and the prolonged exposure to the amniotic fluid. Not sure why that happened, but she wasn’t dropping, even after my water broke. I was induced but it did not help.  I think my pelvis might have been too narrow like my mothers, she had to get a section with all three of us. Nobody gave me any answers though.

First one came just about 48 hours after her due date, second was 8 days late.  Full term just means that your baby can be born and be healthy – I’m sure you’re ready, but the longer your baby gets to “bake”, he/she’ll be healthier and easier to take care of when she/he’s born 🙂

I was due March 8th and our daughter was born 1 week 4 days early. I had Premature Rupture of the Membranes and I had to be induced.

I was 6 days over with my daughter…. in the middle of summer, during a heat wave with no AC (well we had a window one for the bedroom, but really when you’re that far along you can’t feel anything)

Doctor told us to be prepared to be about 7 days over, and she was pretty close to being right. I was told that at 7 days my doctor would review an ultrasound to see how baby was doing and if there was a need they would induce at 7 days and if everything was perfectly fine they would induce at 10 days – mostly to give my body a chance to do it on it’s own as due dates aren’t exact. Now I understand that different regions/states/countries have different ways to deal with over due babies, but it gives you an idea.

Now we’re expecting baby #2 two weeks before baby #1 was due so I’m figuring on an overdue baby. But I’ll let you know if it comes sooner with the second.

I was induced 5 days early. The doctor was worried the baby was malnourished and thought it’d be best to get her out. I wish I could have labored on my own- now I might never know what it feels like to go into labor. I didn’t even labor on my own- immediately after induction started her heart rate dropped and I had emergency c section. I hope some day to experience natural childbirth.
