Hiya Im a hair and makeup artist and i recommend my brides to have it 6-8 weeks prior. If you really are someone who is stressing over it i sometimes do one at 6 months prior and another 6 weeks prior. close enough that u have your hair accessories but still have enough time if you change your mind on ur tiara etc but also close enough that u dont keep chopping and changing. i personaly prefer 6 weeks prior as although we write notes and take piccies there is still only so much we can remember! lol.Hope This Helps

Mine recommended no more than 2 weeks out.  I wanted mine done about 3 months out, but they advised against it.  Mine will be 3 days before the wedding.  They assured me they won’t let me leave the trial completely hating how I look!
