Ok so this is kinda hard to tell, because we really dont have “real” seasons in the island. It either rains or it doesnt!
September is (historically) the most active month in terms of hurricane season in PR, some years we get none, but some years we get tons. So for your peace of mind maybe you could try changing it?
I would recommend late October- December, or February-April. This is my recommendation, but keep in mind it is a tropical island, so you really never know how the weather will be.
Also is your wedding outdoors?? Do you have a venue?
If you need help let me know, I have tons of info, and could help you if you have questions. I am born and raised in PR.

I have been to Pr in January and in May, and another month too and I can’t remember. I remember that in January and May we had the best weather and I don’t think it really rained at all while we were there. Good Luck!

I totally agree with @peacockchris. I’m also from PR and I’m getting married there in August 7! September is a very active month for hurricanes but it’s really up to chance if there will be one or not. That said, although we don’t have rain seasons, I’ve found that the rainiest months are usually Mid April – Late May, Late August-Mid October.
Also, it depends a lot on which part of the island you’re getting married. PR weather is crazy and sometimes it could be raining for days in the east while the south is having a drought. My wedding is in Ponce, which is one of the driest cities ( although one of the hottest too) so I’m hoping for no rain in August.
One more thing too. You should also know that PR rain is (usually) heavy but short. Right now I live in Boston and I’ve found that in northern US rain is usually a very light drizzle and lasts most of the day. In PR it rains cats and dogs for 2 hours and then it’s sunny again.
I think the months @peacockchris suggested are pretty good. You should also consider doing it on a month where airfares aren’t super expensive ( expensive months are December-January ; Late May – Late August) since they can go up to $200-$300 more expensive than the rest of the year.
Sorry for the long reply but I hope it helps! PR has some great venues so I hope you find a great one! If you’re looking for a beach wedding I suggest looking into the western part of the island for beach resorts. They have beautiful beaches but are usually less expensive than beach resorts on the eastern part of the island.

@merenguito: I’m so envious. My Fiance’ and I were orginally getting married in Puerto Rico at the Rio Mar Resort. We planned on an intimate wedding with a few family members and the beautiful ocean backdrop. After getting all the necessary requirements done most of our trip would have been missed. So we decided to get married in our state and go to Puerto Rico for our honeymoon and enjoy the whole experience. Getting married in secret in our state and renewing our vows in Puerto Rico was suggested. That didn’t require any necessary running around to get things done… P.S. Our wedding date is August 6th. 🙂 Best wishes to you

haha my Fiance and I considered getting legally married in Boston and not telling anybody for our big wedding back home (to avoid all of the stupid paperwork in PR) but we never actually did it. We’re going back two weeks before the wedding just to be able to do all the necessary bloodwork and paperwork done for the marriage license. Argh the government in PR makes stuff a lot more difficult than it really should be.
I’m glad you’re getting your honeymoon there. You’ll definitely enjoy it and not have to deal with unnecessary requirements! For our honeymoon we’re leaving on a cruise that leaves San Juan the day after the wedding.
Best wishes to you too date twin!
