I’m looking to have my ceremony outside but not sure what month to have it in. Alberta can be extremely unpredictable for weather. I would prefer to have it in May or October but I’m afraid it will be pouring rain in May and too cold in October. I don’t want a summer wedding because it will be too hot with alot of bugs. What month is the weather the most stable?

- Wedding: September 2014 - Banff, Alberta
I’m having an outdoor wedding in Alberta! My reasoning was definitely not winter, too cold and crap for travelling, summer is too busy where I live. April tends to be chilly and dusty when all the snow melts. May and June is rainy season. So that leaves September!

A family member did a Sept wedding in Saskatchewan. It was nice and relatively warm still, no bugs. I think June would be good for an Alberta wedding, never seems too warm where I am (Northern Alberta), in the 20’s and not much for rain either.

April and May are still too cold and the plants and grass haven’t had a chance to turn green yet. If you do outside pictures they aren’t as nice. October is too cold as well and it often snows then at least a little. September is perfect because the leaves are still on the trees (could be turning yellow and orange which is beautiful) and the weather is normally pretty perfect.
