Mine is Sept 17! All I know is to wear a little black dress, and that a make-up artist has been hired!  That’s IT!

I believe FI’s is on the 24th.

My bachelorette party and 2nd shower are this weekend! Can’t wait!

My bachelorette party will likely be pretty low key… I have 2 preggo friends and one who is a brand new mom… so not much boozin’, which is fine with me! We’re going to take a private pottery wheel class (you make stuff & glaze it; they fire it and you pick it up later) Saturday at Clayworks, go clean up at one of the girls’ houses, then go to a tapas place (Pazo) for dinner/drinks. Afterwards we might go to Vaccaros for dessert. My sister and another friend from out of town will stay the night at my place.

The next day we’ll go to a friend’s house for the shower.

Yay!

@78h2o: I first thought I read that you were going to a friends to clean up her house. I thought, omg? who would make the bride clean someone elses house on her bachelorette! I know you said low key but cleaning!? Then I figured out that you said clean up after the pottery thing. LOL! Made me laugh.

Have you done the pottery thing before? I love it. I’ve made a few things over the years!

My Fiance and I are having a somewhat combined party. We have a large group of friends (right around 30 people) and we are tailgating at the Brewer game, well we have it catered, and then after the game probably split off into guy/girl groups and go to a bar or 2!

@78h2o: Not sure if you have been to pazo lately, but their menu doesn’t have much tapas any more. If you want tapas, Adela or Mezze, both in Fells Point, are good options. Mezze has an awesome sampler menu for groups of 6 or more that works really well for a bachelorette group.

@twist – that is hilarious! That would be pretty bad! I did the pottery thing once with my Fiance – we enjoyed it.

@lovekiss – you know it’s been awhile since I’ve been there… my sister was reading me the menu over the phone the other day and I thought it sounded like it had changed. I’ve never been to Adela but I love Mezze. I had thought of the their sampler menu… maybe we will make the switch. What is Adela like? I do love Pazo’s space; however their service is sometimes lacking.

your bach party of lunch and pedicures sounds like fun! where are you going for the pedicures?

@Sunshine1810 – I’m totally jealous of the chocolate making class!

Seems like September 17th is a popular date. Mine’s that day as well!

The festivities will start with some wine tasting at a local winery followed by dinner and a comedy show then some gay bar karaoke and cocktails. Pretty much my perfect bachelorette party!

Ours is September 24th! We decided to have a bachelor/bachelorette bonfire out on our friends field. We didn’t want to do the whole cliche, typical get drunk at a club thing. We decided to combine our b-parties and have fun together. It’s co-ed (obviously) but it will be fun. Cornhole, horseshoes, muddin’ and drinking…what could be more fun out in the country?  Smile

Mine is the 17th, it happens to be the same night as the bachelor party, I wonder if we’ll run into eachother. Doubtful because we’re on the hunt for some dancing and they are on the hunt to drink my Fiance under the table, but its possible!

@78h2o: That sounds perfect!

I’m kind of in the same boat… Out of 4 girls, 2 of my bridesmaids are moms with very young kids and 1 does not drink at all.  None of us wanted strippers, body shots or any sort of wild party, so it will be very low key.

We’re going to go to this really cute shop where you can design/create your own bath products.  The store has agreed to stay open late for us and let us bring some champagne and snacks. I’m going to surprise each girl with a gift card to the store as part of their bridemaid gift…  After that everyone is coming back to my house for a slumber party, and we’ll have pizza, cupcakes and some cocktails (for those who want to drink). I’m going to rent Bridesmaids and some other wedding-related chick flicks for us to watch.
