Oh no. 🙁 I think in this situation, because you’d already essentially given it to her as a gift you should pay the extra $60 and order a real one. Sorry that happened to you.

I would pay for the new, real one. Especially if she has to go to the store to have it put on. It would be really embarrasing for you if she went to have a charm put on only to find out its fake.

Yup.  Since she’s already aware of the gift, you can’t really NOT give it to her at this point.  Also, it would not only be embarrasing for YOU to have her find out it’s a fake, but imagine how she’d feel when she went to the store and they told her it wasn’t theirs.

Ooh. That sucks. Since she is already expecting it, you should order her the real one now. 🙁

I’m late to the party, but I agree.  Once you boxed it up and gave her the photo of it, you locked yourself into having to get her the authentic one.  Sorry!

I would tell her the truth, you got duped and scammed! She’ll understand!

Also I would get her an authentic one.

I would not go the pre-owned route… You’re going to have to order directly from T&Co.

Maybe you could say it’s on back order & buy yourself some time?

@mrsromo:  Hmm, this is what I was thinking. Either that or “There was a mix up, I was sent the wrong one” which is close to the truth.

I would order her the authentic one if I was in your shoes.
