(Closed) When it’s just you and DH at home… how do you dress?

  • poll: How are you typically dressed when it's just you and DH at home? (hair/makeup/clothes)...

I dress the same as when I go out in public

I dress up - a little better than when I go out in public - more like a nice night out

I dress down - it's comfort all the way - I wouldn't be seen like this in public!

Dress? Who wears clothes around their DH? I'm naked all the time ;)

Comfort, always. I always joke with DH that I like when it’s just him and me because then I don’t feel pressured to put on nice clothes and do myself up. πŸ˜‰ Poor guy – at least he knew my MO going in.

Oh dear, DH and I are the masters of Happy Pants (pajama pants).   DH puts them on as soon as he gets home, regardless of the time of day, and I usually follow suit shortly thereafter.   We would never go out in public like this but at home, we like our happy pants!

ETA:  On the weekends, we will shower and dress in ‘normal’ clothes, but as soon as we do whatever we need to do, it’s back to the happy pants for him.  I can usually last until dinner time or so before I go back to the happy pants.

Hell, I rarely dress up when I am out. I may throw on some makeup, but this girl is happy in yoga pants and tank tops. I could live in that combination. It’s so comfy.

I live in sweatpants at home. DH does too.  We are in our work clothes all day and so its nice to just get out of them.  I like to think that DH find me sexier in my sweats than in my work clothes!

Edit:  I also am a chronic buyer of sweats.  I have a ridiculous amount of pairs of sweats and they are my favorite athletic item to buy.  In fact, DH put a moratorium on buying sweats because I bought so many pairs last year.  :(.  If I don’t wear my sweats, then my investment was for nothing! πŸ™‚

Yeah I usually change into “play clothes” (not necessarily PJ’s but kind of junky) as soon as I get home from work unless we’re going somewhere. For one thing we have a dog and I hate cleaning dog hair off my work clothes, for another thing… I’ve already worn nice clothes all day I want to relax.

When we’re spending all day at home I will in all likelihood shower but it is extremely unusual for me to do hair/makeup if we’re not going somewhere… maybe it would be a nice change of pace to act a little like my hero DP πŸ™‚

Usually yoga or pajama pants and a casual top. But he usually doesn’t get home from work until somewhere between 9pm-11pm, depending on the day, and by that point I’m settling into downtime. In the winter he wears pajama pants under his cargo pants to work, and as soon as he’s in the house he takes off the cargo pants. We try to be a little less casual on the weekends…sometimes we succeed, sometimes we don’t.

I voted “dress down,” but most of the time I don’t mind being seen in public that way! πŸ™‚

Me and our son are both in footie pajamas. FH is in gym shorts and a tshirt. We’re so casual it blows minds πŸ˜‰ haha!

I’m always dressed down at home and so is SO. We like to dress up for each other when we go out, but home time is relaxation time (:

I do dress down..I’ll normally wear cute yoga pants and a matching sweatshirt, or a victorias secret “pink” sweats outfit…I normally am relaxing in things that I could wear in public though. I am a big fan of “shabby chic”, as I normally wear GapBody loungewear and not a wrinkled oversized t shirt or anything. We do not live together, but it’s been almost 6 years, and we spend weekend nights together every week, and he normally gets home from work when I’m out of my day-clothes, so this is not because we don’t live together. I also need to have a bra on at all times, unless I’m sleeping..don’t feel comfortable without it.

The only time I’m dressed at all cute is if he gets home right after I do and I haven’t changed yet. lol!

I’m a sweatpants and t-shirt girl all the way. I don’t bother with makeup or even a bra at home.

Last night I wore black pyjama bottoms with hot pink and yellow patterns, Baby pink slipper socks, a Bed Addict Tshirt with an oil-stain and a hoodie – it’s a wash day to be fair…

I have a 3 year old so there’s no point in wearing anything ‘nice’ (or white) anymore because it will just get mud/dirt/paint/chocolate on it within 5 minutes.

Before I had a child I used to dress quite nicely. I never sat around the house in trackpants unless I was sick or doing gardening and knew I was going to get grotty.

I am a yoga pants with a tanktop, tee and pull-over kind of girl.

DH actually LOVES me in my Lulu yoga pants and a tank.  They make my ass look great πŸ™‚
