Ugh lol! One time I asked my then-boyfriend to go grocery shopping while I was at work, and I asked him to get a couple of drinks for me to bring to work with me. He went grocery shopping and got everything on the list, and “some things to drink.” As in, he came back with two cases of gatorade, a case of canned sweet tea, a case of the little plastic juice barrels, two cases of juice boxes, and some powerade. We had drinks for MONTHS, and my coworkers thought it was hilarious when I was bringing in little kid apple juice boxes in my lunchbox hahaha

yaʻll are patient as hell.

Itʻs one thing to “forget to turn it on” but “because you didnʻt tell me to” would drive me batshit.

dunno how you ladies do it.

That would drive me crazy.  Why should you have to tell him to turn it on?  He’s not 10 years old.

I don’t find that funny or cute at all.

minimalistbeex :  haha….yep! Except mine  is afflicted with the super power of only being able to process three quarters of the instructions I give him. Hell do steps one two and three but its like he never even heard step four! He is not being an asshole or lazy. He is not even remotely lazy…. I think too many instructions just overwhelms him and he can’t process it.  He looks  genuinely baffled when I ask why step four wasn’t carried out! Now I know to text step four to check that its been done!! 😉

Having said that. ..we are renovating ATM and he gives me the same kind of look I give him when I don’t understand what he is asking me to do! He gets exasperated with me but I’m not doing it to be a pain. I just don’t get it!!!!

Hahhaha yes, my Fiance is soooo literal. But the good thing is he only has to do something like this once, then when I tell him he does it properly from then on. I can’t get angry at him, it just makes me laugh 😂

cmsgirl :  yes to this too! If something has more than three or so steps, or if I need him to get more than three things at the store I have to text him, otherwise he will forget. He also constantly forgets his lunch, even though I leave it by his keys at the door ☹️ Siggghhh

maybe it’s funny the first time. but certainly not cute if this is a continuing trend.  i don’t think you should need to train him.  common sense applies here.

Once I asked Darling Husband to clean the tub. He cleaned literally…just the tub. Not the surround, not the soap scummy spot where the soap sits, not the faucet, nothing lol.

To be fair I usually clean the bathrooms but still. I shouldn’t need to spell this out lol.

I don’t find this funny at all. I find it sad that a grown man has to be told to turn on a dryer when he is putting in wet clothes. I guess its good you find it funny since you are in a relationship with him. Be sure you are okay living with a man who behaves like this for the rest of your life. I thought it was cute at first too, but now am getting divorced. This behavior was a large part of it. Good luck.
