@CMSnails:  I’ll wear them in my hair at work during football/basketball games. I work in a restaurant as a server and we can’t wear jerseys or anything. So I’ll put my red ribbon in my hair to show my love for UofL and put a cardinal sticker on my cheek. But really… that’s the only time I wear a ribbon in my hair. I’m 22 btw lol.  The only bows I wear are my bow earrings. I love bows, but I don’t wear them in my hair or anything (with the exception of gamedays) lol.

@CMSnails:  As long as it’s not overdone or with pigtails or something like that I think it’s fine at any age. I’ve seen some elderly ladies with headbands that have a small bow on them and they look great…

For the most part I agree, around 1st grade.  Exceptions made for high school cheerleaders.

Then again I have seen some cool things were girls will work a ribbon into a braid or something like that.  Those kinds of styles I would say are fine for teens, maybe anyone still in college.  Once you hit your mid 20’s though, not really going to pull that look off.

I think that they are making a come back. normally i would say young but jess from the new girl pulls it off well. I think it depends on how you wear it. but 30s is pushing it unless you looks chic and young.

I think bows are sweet!

If your outfit is complimented by it, why not?!

I still wear bows sometimes and I’m 26 nearly 27…

a lot of kate spade stuff has bows and its part of the classic style.

I say if you like ’em, wear ’em!  There are mature ways to flaunt the bow!

@CMSnails:  You’re never too old as far as I’m concerned. People should be able to put as many ribbons in their hair as they goddamn feel like at any age. There are so many other things to judge your fellow human beings on that are much, much more important.

ETA: We also really don’t need another thing that women are too old to do once they’re not doe eyed, dewey complexioned 20 year olds.

I think it can be pulled off an any age also, but it depends on the rest of the style the person is trying to attempt with the rest of their clothes and accessories.
