My date is August 4th, and our hotel block needs to be booked by July 3rd.  I put our date for RSVp as July 4th.

Some may say its too early, but I think leaving a month is a good amount of time.

When are you sending out invites?

Normally I say 10 days prior the day you need the counts, so that if you have to chase down rsvp’s you have time. So a month before your wedding I guess. Seems like an early rsvp though.

YikesUndecided.  We just ordered our invites, and put an rsvp of June 15 for our August 4 wedding.  I guess we’re *really* early.  (But we do have 75% of our guest from out of town and we’re sending the invites a bit earlier.)

We have an April 2 RSVP date for our June 2 wedding.  I fully expect to have to track down a bunch of people form FI’s side.

Also – I am having a Destination Wedding wedding – we sent out Save-The-Date Cards a year ago – at this point, people should either know if they are coming or not…….

I’d set it as July 4th. Then you have 10+ days to track people down before your counts are due, your RSVP date is memorable, and you could even incorporate some kind of cute sticker or firework symbol to help folks remember. I’d definitely give yourself a week ahead of counts due at a minimum.
