i would definitely send it a little earlier than usual since your wedding is smack in the middle of prime vaca time.  i would say 8-10 weeks early.

@molliechristine: I’d say by Halloween at the earliest.  Not many people know their schedule that far in advance, and especially their holiday plans.

But certainly, tell people the wedding date, spread the word!

yeah, I think 8-10 weeks sounds perfect.

That’s a rough date!  I would prefer to know sooner than later.  Between holiday plans and NYE being the next day?  If I booked a something nice for NYE and than got a wedding invitation the next day I would not be happy.

With that date I vote for the sooner the better!

Do you have emails for most of them?  I would draft up a pretty basic STD and email it to your guest list now, that way people who DO have travel plans over the holidays will be able to know how to schedule things if they want to make your wedding.  Best thing is it would be free!!!

You should  start adding your items around 4 months before your wedding……as PP said its quite possible that some stuff you want might be out of stock that time…….

My wedding is December 31st and I am sending out invites by the 1st week of october. I sent Save-The-Date Cards end of July/early August. I agree with PPs, its such a hectic time of year for people, the earlier you get things out to your guests the better! Good luck
