My hair is pretty long and I want to make sure I get a trim before the wedding (a month and 1/2 more left!). While I want to make sure it looks healthy, I also want to make sure it stays long since I am going with the whole hair down waves summer look for my hair. I have read several posts online about when to cut it. I plan on cutting it this upcoming week, but will it still be good and healthy for my wedding in May? Because I am doing it a bit over a month before my wedding, would I need another trim before the wedding date? or should I wait? I am planning on cutting it two inches (I know too much prob) and hope it will still be growing. would it be better to wait two weeks before, or does this week (third week of march) will be ok, without having to go for another trim?
Thanks gals!! 😀

I’ve also got long hair. Most stylists have suggested that I trim every 6 weeks. I however refuse to spend money every 6 weeks just to get my hair done! I find I can get away with a trim every 2 months, sometimes every 3 months, but by 3 months the ends start looking kinda nasty. I would ask them to literally just trim the ends now and see how your hair looks and feels closer to your wedding. If push comes to shove you could squeeze in another trim pre wedding, if you feel you really have to.

I say trim it when your “hair tells you to” lol. I always know when I need a trim because my hair feels and looks dry.

Trim every few months leading up to the wedding. My stylist is trimming mine every 3. I did a trim in december, I’ll get one this month, one this summer and one in September.
