So I brought the hair, My wedding is less than 8 weeks away and I don’t know when I should get the weave put in. I never had a weave before, so I know it will probably take a little bit of getting use too. Getting the weave put in the same day as my wedding is not an option ( not enought time). Also, my Fiance is going away for his bachelor party the last weekend of April, so that’s not an option either. I want the weave to look “fresh” I dunno lol but I just want to make sure it looks really nice for my wedding day. When is the perfect time? I’m so nervous about this.

I got mines put in a week before the wedding. It gives it enough time to loosed up where It won’t hurt you the day of the wedding. I think a week is enough time for you to get use to it, and for it to look fresh!

I would say 4-10 days prior to your wedding to allow yourself time to get used to it and try out differenct styles to do with it for your wedding day

I already knew the style I was going to do so I actually got mine 2 days before the wedding.

I would say a week before the wedding.

I agree – a week before is good. You want it to look fresh but not too fresh so that it doesn’t look natural. Wearing it for a about a week or a little more before should be perfect

I also say a week especially if you’re getting a sew-in…you’ll need time for the braids to loosen up. I also recommend getting some quality hair if you decide to get it done a week before. Cheap weave only looks good for a moment

I got mine done Thursday before the wedding and then went to get it styled the day of the wedding (Saturday).

I know you are a little closer now, but if you can swing it I would definitely reccomend trying it out NOW (maybe with a lesser quality hair). You can rock it to the events leading up to your wedding, and then I would get it redone 1 week before like other posters have commented so it will loosen up and look more natural.
You want to make sure you are comfortable, can style it, etc before you commit!

Since it is your first weave I would get it done now. With good quality hair. You can keep a weave looking good for 2 months. You might not like the feeling of having a sew in.
And also when you get it done and if it’s TOO tight SAY SOMETHING! You don’t not want to to put to much stress on your hair. Good luck! What style do you want?

I wear weaves alot and I am pretty good at maintaining it so I’m getting mine in a month before the wedding and getting it tightened a week before and styled the morning of. I experiment with different virgin hair vendors…so I just want to be sure that the hair is good hair because I have had some hair that turns into a rats nest after a week, lol! So i’m playing it safe, lol!

I would say about a week and a half before the wedding. That way it will not be too tight or hurt on your wedding day and you’ll have time to play with it a little and make it your own.
