My tests didn’t come back positive until I actually missed my period. I’ve always heard to wait a week after your missed period so the hormones will be strong enough to give a more accurate +/- reading.

You could test as early as 2-3 days before your period is due, but even if it’s negative, that doesn’t mean you’re not pregnant.  For the most accurate result, wait until your period is late and then test.  If it’s negative and your period still doesn’t show, test again two days later (the hormones double every two days at the early stage) and keep following that pattern until you either get a positive or your period arrives.   Good luck!

I would wait until the day your period is due, that way you’ll be fairly confident either way. I hope you get the answer you’re looking for. Just remember a healthy couple only has a 20% chance of a BFP, even with perfect timing.

Yeah, waiting can be really tough – but that’s what I would TRY to do. (That being said, I cave all the time and end up testing from 10DPO.)

Wait until the first day of your missed period!!!!

I say this because it’s possible to have a chemical pregnancy in which you’ll get a positive test, but then have a miscarriage that appears to be your regular menstrual cycle.  The emotional roller coaster of a positive test followed by your period would be awful!

Also, it’s much more reliable.  I didn’t get a positive test until two days after the first day of my missed period.  And I’m definitely pregnant!
