So my wedding is in Summerlin, NV, May 24th 2012…and all of our friends and family are coming from Los Angeles. My venue needs it’s official head count 30 days before the wedding…
I’ve already sent out STD’s back in June. Now I just need to know when to send out the actual invitations! I need to get them back from everyone at least a month before the wedding keep in mind. So does that mean I should send them 2 1/2 months early? Or am I safe sending them out 2 months before the actual wedding date, so they have about a month to respond….??

- Wedding: June 2011 - Sydney, Australia
I’d probably send them earlier (to be on the safe side) particularly since people are travelling. But then, I’m a super early organised freak, so maybe I’m not the best person to answer! 😉
I’d be sure to give them a decent time to get their RSVPs back, and remember… you need numbers pretty securely for a destination wedding, so hopefully you’ll have a good batch of guests who will get in early!

We sent our invitations out earlier this month for our June wedding in the DR – we just didn’t see the point in sending Save-The-Date Cards when we knew that they would need to book (but not pay for) their rooms by December!
